This experimental data field will display estimated core body temperature based off heart rate during a physical activity. Please note this is only an estimate of core body temperature.

FAQ: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=HU77nu3wOJ8Vx46Aw62Re9

Most athletes are at risk for heat illness when performing intense activities. According to Physiological Responses to Acute Exercise-Heat Stress by Sawka and Wenger, during physical exercise, heat production can increase by 10-20 times[1]. Also, in the same paper, Sawka and Wenger note that less than 30% of the heat generated is converted to mechanical energy and the rest must be transferred outside the body.[1] The body does this using the blood to transfer the heat to the skin.

Wildly inaccurate, like it shows temperature by which I would be dead while playing tennis.

Effectively useless until takes the time to make it configurably functional. Data isnt available via Connect, or storable for any useful period of time. No Fahrenheit option. Seemingly wildly innacurate. Major battery drain.

I tried to get this to work but only have celcius option and would like to view it on watch and connect.

The estimated temperature can't possibly be right. It showed 102.27 °F (39.04 °C) during a 36 minute easy Zone 2 run in cool weather. There's no way I was that hot, I wasn't even sweating.

Working well on Venu, it's interesting to have the data but I don't really do anything with it. Just nice to use for comparisons sake.

Cannot find app on my data fields for any activities. Installed and reinstalled multiple times. Also synced multiple times. Cannot change Celsius to Fahrenheit; only option is to change Celsius degrees. Heart rate data is shown on watch. I have a Forerunner245 music.

As soon as I change Base Temp from pre set 37,1 degrees to a lower temperature like 36.9, the Datafield does not work anymore but only shows a ConnectIQ icon on the screen. Cannot reset even to initial value. Have to deinstall and reinstall to fix display. Otherwise a nice Idea

Works on my Vivoactive 3. This is NOT a stand-alone display screen: it works as a data field in the activity profiles, e.g., walking, biking, running, etc. I have the 3rd screen in my bike activity to show the Est. Body Temperature and the ambient temperature. To change the temperature unit to Fahrenheit, you go to Settings - System - Units - Temperature. I've also installed this same app on my Edge 130 and works well!
