You can make this field part of your general data page configuration, but this data field really shines when you place it on the map page of your Edge 1030. Thanks to this data field you can see both the map and key metrics on the same page. </p><p></p><p>How to add this field to the map page: long push the "Road" button, Click "Data Screens", Choose "Map", "Always Show Map", Choose "Data Layout", Choose "1", Click on the bottom part of the screen (where the field is), Choose "Connect IQ", Choose "Mini Dashboard".</p>

What is the "smart assistance"?

when a course is loaded this shows distance to destination + arrow to start of course. When no course is loaded this shows distance done + arrow to start of activity.

I didi not use map view too often until I installed this data field. It has changed completely the way I use my Garmin 1030. Great job Peter !

I have tried it now for a couple of rides and it's a great app! Exactly what I needed to stop shifting between screens during a GPS guided ride. Donation done with a smile.

When display is night mode(background is black) on setup, text is also black so I can’t see the texts.

I'm now explicitly clearing the background so that the text will also display in 'night' mode. The color selection chosen in the app settings will be followed (white background or black background option). Cheers, Peter

Recently it turned out to be my favourite datafield - I ride outside with the map and my most important figures. All in one screen! Thank for this app, it's totally worth 4 Eur suggested donation.

Incredible that garmin does not support more than 2 fields on map screen. Kudos for this developer. Why not 5 starts, because I don’t like to have to select 3 fields in each side

All my apps are delivered fully functional with donation encouragement on screen. I prefer this and I think this is more gentle than time limiting functionality or feature limiting the app. Cheers, Peter.
