SkyChart is a location- and time-accurate sky chart application for round, Garmin Connect IQ 2.4 or later devices. It uses your current GPS position and time to display the night sky, featuring 127 of the brightest named stars, the constellation outlines, the sun, moon with accurate phase, Venus (violet), Mars (red), Jupiter (green), Saturn (yellow), and Uranus (blue), as well bright deep sky objects.

Version 1.4.0 reduced the colors so a Fenix 6 has enough memory for app to work - changed planets to symbols from colors to support. Also changed the deep sky objects to be more likely to be visible to a visual observer.

****

Version 1.3.1 supports several new devices

***

Version 1.3.0 supports several new devices and has one new feature:

- Supports a night (red) mode. Select in the settings or use your menu button (press and hold) to toggle.

It works as is mirrored, so not useful. When a upgrade to fix it?

Doesn't rotate correctly. Depending on your current heading the app will tell you that Polaris is North South East or West of you. Completely bonkers. Ruins the usefulness of having a startchart on my wrist as you have to face North for it to work correctly.

1.4 update now allows it to work for Fenix 6x Sapphire. Dev incredibly responsive and this is the only app of its kind I’ve found so far

Sadly won't even open on my Venu. Such a shame because I was really looking forward to trying this app.

Star chart on my wrist! What's not to love? Found Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn already. Obviously less good than something on your phone, given the screen size, but overall very nice.

Would be nice if it had a 4th display mode to show the names of the constellations. Would also be nice if you could zoom in to be able to expand the names of everything to more than a few characters. Comets and regular meteor showers might be asking for too much, but I believe in you. Would also be nice to add this as a widget on the fenix 5 plus... I have a hunt and fish app that works that way, but I could see not wanting to trigger this complicated app every time I want to scroll through them all... but right now it isn't even an option.

I like the idea. You can add the lay back orientation maybe - when watches are oriented down with the display - mirrored as now.

The app seems to have greatly changed since I last used it. No longer are users able to select an object in the sky and use the display/compass to locate the object. I want to give the app a 1-2 star review but, I know that a lot of work has gone into creating it. Hopefully the developer will either add this great feature back to the app or they will create a companion/sister application.

Schade, hatte mir etwas besseres vorgestellt. Kann man deutlich besser auf dem Handy machen. Gleich wieder deinstalliert.
