This datafield is for Fartlek training. If you're reading this I presume I don't have to explain what Fartlek means.

The user can set a time for their warm-up and both minimum and maximum times in minutes for their fast and slow running interval. The Fartlek timer will generate a random interval between the minimum and maximum time selected by the user. During the warm up the datafield will show a countdown timer, but during the alternating fast and slow running periods it will just say 'FAST' or 'Slow'. This is to emulate your annoying training partner who says 'let's run fast to THAT tree' without mentioning the fact they meant the third tree, not the first.

This is great! Solves the problem of run/walk alerts not triggering in training plan sessions. However I use very short intervals (under 1min sometimes) so it would be great if these were allowed, either by setting length in second instead or by allowing decimals. Any chance...?

Works great on my Vivoactive. It was easy to add the data field. I used it on every run now, even if I don't plan to run fartleks. After a week or so of using it, the "randomness" became not so random any more. But that's okay. The vibration reminds me to kick it up a notch and has really helped improve my speed.

I love this data field! It works perfect. Only 1 request, add a cooldown option too.

This is a good addition to my Garmin. Well done on not over complicating things, I like how this sticks to the unstructured spirit of fartlek. Highly recommended for runners who feel they may be too clinical/over analytical with their runs. Install this, set your ranges and then go out for a somewhat unpredictable run! I don't know if the API allows it, but linking each 'interval' with an Auto-Lap would be the one feature worth adding.
