It's great when it works, but when you pause the run it'll stop working once you restart, and then it's useless if it won't give you zones after that.

Really amazing App / data fields. It fits perfect with the 80/20 training practice. Can only recommend it. Please notice that you need a Stryd (power meter pod) in order to use power. You cannot use Garmins build-in power meter. Be aware that to fully utilize the full potential of this App please set some time off to get to know the App and data screens. It took me a couple of runs before I had every setting to my liking. But now it is just perfect! Can only applause such great voluntary work by EhoSystems.

I don't find running power that useful (pace works for majority of runners imho) so just stick with pace and hr.... However I did tried power on my fr955(which have running power enabled) but the data field showed "no data".

Thank you for the review. Garmin Run Power is only an internal calculation from your movement which is not accessible by third party apps unfortunately. My app requires a sensor that supplies external power data, like the STRYD sensors do (AFAIK these are the only power meter sensors which can do this)!

I'm unable to use power misuration. I use HRM Pro and Fenix 6 but while default garmin app "Running Power" show me average power, Your app is constantly in "No data !". I've added both data screens and I'm pretty sure that HRM is working fine ! What have I to do ? Thanks in advance

Hi, my 80/20 app calculates the zones from your lactate threshold during runtime, there is no option to see them when not performing the activity. But you can use the 80/20 zone calculator from the 80/20 endurance website to calculate your zones: https://www.8020endurance.com/8020-zone-calculator/

The app seems great but it looks like there is a significant bug whenever a workout is stopped/paused (in a structured workout). Whenever this happen, the data fields lose all data and state "no data" for the remainder of the workout. If the workout isn't paused this doesn't happen, but it's pretty annoying when you have to and you lose everything.

Hello, "no data" means there is no power data available. This appears because by toggling Start/Stop button you can switch between Power-Heartrate-Pace. Simply press Start Stop once again (or twice) to switch back to your initial display (Pace/heartrate). This is not a bug, this is exactly how it should work. And you can disable the toggling of metrics in app setting if you don't like it.

If you are following the 80-20 training methodology this app is a great help and better than the native Garmin screens. I really like the fact you can see two metrics on the same screen (I use HR and Pace). Having an optional buzz when you transition from a zone can help you stop from straying too fast or slow in your training. The developer responded to my query very quickly, which was much appreciated. Highly recommended.

Feature request: Please enable to use this data screen with Stryd as a stand alone daya screen (without necessarily having to enable Stryd connect iq app). In the current usage (80/20 + stryd iq) all the connect iq slots are used up and I would very much appreciate to have one slot free for another connect iq app. Thank you for all the good work you do.

Downloaded and started using a couple weeks ago, and think we be great for keeping me at the right pace (love the Bike app on my trainer) but wondering if I'm missing a setting somewhere (Fenix 5). On my last interval run, the pace that was showing between a hard zone 3 run and a zone 1 run (almost walking) and back again was almost nothing, and seemed like an average over the entire run time. Tried an experiment and came to a complete stop and the pace showing on my watch did not change for 30 seconds, and then only by a second or two.

The 80/20 app directly use the speed value it gets from the watch. So when speed/pace is not shown correctly, your watch does not serve the correct value! Using GPS for pacing is the most inaccurate way to go. Especially when using an old and outdated watch. Fenix 5 is well known for having very bad GPS measurement. Fenix 5+ or F6 are better but still not perfect. I'd recommend to get yourself a food pod if you intend to train witch pacing and get the most accurate pacing. Personally I'm using the Stryd V3 which is not cheap but worth every penny. When already using a foot pod, maybe your battery was empty or bluetooth/ANT+ connection was bad, so the watch stopped to send correct speed data to the app.

App works well. However, since I downloaded the training peaks plan the heart rate gauge no longer shows the 80/20 zones and instead shows easy, aerobic, etc... is this a change in the app I need to make or a change somewhere else? I like the gauge because I can easily see it while running. Also, is it possible to give the zone alert based upon 80/20 zones vs the standard heart rate zones?

Thanks for the app! Works great and makes it easier to follow the workouts. I don’t know if this is a bug or my setup but my HR stopped reading when I pressed “Start/Stop” button. I had to press “Stop” at traffic light and pressed “Start” but it kept on showing “No data”. But when I went to Garmin screen it showed HR but nothing on 80/20 app. I used chest strap for HR and Garmin D2 Delta. Cheers!

Would be great to have possibility to show 2 zones in time. I mean I want to see both HR and Pace based zones. I need to install Run zones, put pace as an indicator and install HR zones field application to port it as second field on 2-fields screen as a workaround. It duplicate data in report. I could install both HR an Pace zone simplified apps, but pace one is not adapted well for 2 field screen. Can you please either update pace one or add this functionality here. Nice datafield, it would be great if one can see time and percentages spent in zones also in the connect graph on smartphone in the last tab or at least if it is possible to see the percentages in the activity summary where "time low intensity" and "time high intensity" are showed. Thank you.

This is a great app. Would be good if you could easy swap between HR and Pace instead of App settings or if you have Pace selected you could see HR zone instead of the percentages in High/Low or vise versa

Unsure as to the reasoning behind removing the lap time during a training session. Was very useful to know how far into a Zone 4 sprint you were!! Now I only have the split between high and low zones, which is easy to look at AFTER a run. Please undo this update, or at least give the user the option to have lap times if they choose to. Otherwise it is a brilliant app!!

Hello, thank you for your review. The cycling view between lap time and zone summary has been removed for a more transparent layout. Now the datafield only shows 80/20 zone summary. If needed, please simply add laptime as second datafield. I see no reason to display lap time directly inside the 80/20 datafield when there already exists a generic datafield. Putting lap time in the 80/20 datafield makes things much more complicated (more code, more app size, more error prone, less transparency). So I decided to remove it, as there was no real need to put it there. If you overlay the summary with lap time, you will still see the zone summary when activity is paused/finished!
