Data field for activity data screens, showing the number of steps done during a timed activity. Optionally, estimated distance using the average stride length is stored with the activity data too. Results of STEPS & DISTANCE saved with the activity FIT file, and visible in Garmin Connect.</p><p></p><p>PLEASE NOTE: the steps-estimated distance is displayed in a separate IQ field of Garmin Connect. It DOES NOT overwrite the native distance value of the activity! At indoor activities, where the native distance is often strongly undercounted by the watch, you can Edit the activity, and copy the IQ distance into the native field. IQ apps are not authorized to modify the native distance.</p>
