Brilliant - I use this for mountain biking, so really just want to be able to turn lights on and off when I jump off the trail and onto roads for short periods. Gives me all the options I want without having to get off the bike. Thank you for your efforts, delighted ;-)

Unfortunately I cannot use the data field, there's always the message "no network" even though the Varia RTL 516 is connected and functional

Took me a little while to figure out the various configuration options, but once I'd done that it became obvious that this is an incredibly useful app. Nice work!

With this app I can see advantage from using ant+ compatible lights, have just forgotten about them. Smart mode is f**g awesome. Superb app!

Hello, thanks a lot for app. I am using this (lights off, flashing after car detection) ###0,73404416::1#2,2!RADAR:1:7:1:0I]-1]0!:1:0:0:0D=1###0::#0:0#0#B3112##2#0#0 It works good in day time. Is it posible to switch after sunset to solid light and to pulstation after detecting a car?

Hello, I bought the bon contractor Ion 200 RT light, if unfortunately only 3 orange lines are loaded, not 5 green ones, even after a second load it stays with 3 orange, I have also deleted the ION 200 from the 1040 And again newly connected, unfortunately it remains with 3 orange lines. Hello, First of all, thanks for Smart Bike Lights, it works really well, the only one is the battery display, which consists of 5 green bars if the Varia 515 is fully charged, so you think that every bar means around 20% capacity, but already With 3 bars, the color of the beams changes to red, which soon means charging, actually 3 bars should still be around 60% capacity, how does that come? Hello have a Varia515 as well as 1040 garmin edge. Actually wants to have the function light on at cars and otherwise off. The first problem is the light on in cars, but no longer goes out. Does the light configuration only work on the active training side where the IQ is in the data field and as soon as you swipe to another side, no more!? The next one hooks the switching on the data field, so can not just click through the light modes from S to M and N. Must then always swipe to the next page and back. Of course it would be nice with brake function, unfortunately I didn't manage that. I'd just like the varia 515 to turn on based on my Edge's ambient light sensor. NOT based on sunset, fixed times, etc. Of course, when a car is approaching from behind it should start blinking, regardless of time of day. Any ideas?

This is the most useful connect IQ app I have used! Finally I can make my bike lights do what I want instead of what the Garmin engineers thought I would need! My configuration: Front Light (ION 200 RT): default=off - day flash if speed greater than 15km/h Radar Tail Light (Varia 515): default=off - day flash if car approaching (= nearer than 300m and threat level greater none) - solid if acceleration lower than -15% (= braking light) I hope that this app will not drain my Edge 530's battery to quickly. I will see after my next long ride...

I've tried to configure Varia RTL 510 (generally off /battery save/ but BRAKE SOLID light + BLINK when car detected) - after some initial tests I decided to contact Developer (for help) with my test/config line. Very quick and kind reply from Developer solve the issue. Impressive approach and tool! Thank You very much! (ps. Varia works /as expected/ brilliant with suggested config line)

Nice tool. It is good to to see the actual state at the display. An online simulator for checking of the filters (e.g. daylight, radar, ...) will be fine.

The best data field for Varia and other lights ... The man is helpful and the app is complex and works well, all the opposite of Garmin...

This is great. Important to read full description to understand, including after More...... There are still problems, including but not limited to unstable connections between Edge 830 and Bontrager lights, either occasional random loss during rides, or a profound link failure when Garmin connected to mobile phone by Bluetooth. These are not caused by this App, but are problems with the Garmin device itself

I have only just found this and configured it, but I'm already really happy. I bought Garmin's UT800 headlight and like the set and forget auto functionality, but due to it being overzealous with high beam at night, the battery runs out too fast. I have setup this app to only use high beam at much faster speeds, so I am confident this will help me get through night rides!
