Does everything you need it to do, just make sure you removed the HRM from the watch first, add the data field to the activity that you want to perform whilst you are monitoring the results, also view the data field before you start the activity.
Does not work with Smart Bluetooth HRM, Ant+ only.
Great data field, does exactly what it promises. Please make the text larger for easier troubleshooting on the run.
Works like a charm
Most complete option so far! Very detailed analysis for comparing optical with external heart rate, with all data being recorded do FIT for post analysis.
It demands a full screen data field but its not meant to be used daily anyway. Its more suited for test activities aimed for comparison, before configuring the HRM back in the usual way.
Great DF to troubleshoot oHR issues and find the best placement on the wrist.
Hey there - it would be cool if you could also write the : min, max and average deviation into the fit file + maybe an overall deviation in % so that you can clearly see how accurate the Optical sensor vs chest strap is overall in one number :)
Otherwise an awesome datafield man !
Ah! die Ira 🙃
Thank you! Now it’s working perfectly. :-))
Ah! die Ira 🙃
The data fiel works on my Fenix 5s, but I miss the FIT data in Garmin Connect after uploading the activity.
Could you fix that please?
It works. Great Data field.
Can someone please help me with how to configure this? I have the field added to a run screen but it just says searching. If I turn off the external HR monitor under settings then it stops saying Searching but the text on the widget is illegible. I see 70 bpm on the right side but the left is gibberish text. Does it need to be put in a certain size data field to work correctly? I have a Fenix 6X Pro
It is working as expected. You need to remove the HRM device from the device before!
Works great with my Fenix 6 pro!
Great data field.
Only criticism is you need to put in your description to make sure you turn off your heart rate monitor under sensors in your watch, first-run I got nothing.
Great data field!
This is great! Especially because so many of us have had a lot of trouble with the optical HR monitor. Thank you!
Very useful data field showing accuracy of WHR vs heart rate strap.

Great app. Works perfectly. Just a caution in its use - heart rate lag from OHR can create the appearance of big deltas simply due to timing offset. Therefore the graph of delta produced in Garmin Connect can be misleading. Heart rate might track perfectly, with a few seconds delay, so graphs can be similar shape and actually demonstrate great performance, but the delta graph might look worse than the reality. This is no criticism of the data field, just a caution for how to interpret the data.
I have original strap from Garmin, but this app show only searching and nothing else... Garmin Fenix 6 Sapphire.
Sorry to hear you are having trouble. What strap are you using? Please make sure that under settings/sensors & accessories on your watch your strap is turned off or deleted. If the watch shows searching under status in this menu then the datafield won't find it as it's already in use.
Great idea to be able to see the difference of bpm in real time. Best way to check performance of OHR sensor. Thanks
