I am not happy with step counter for Hiking. Today distance was 10.97 km. but the steps were only 9247. Two weeks ago for 22 km. hiking only 19300. With Garmin hiking app the steps are adequate - 1 step about 0.7 m. as I defined in the Garmin settings. With Garmin Hike app for 24 km. there are 33000 steps. Any idea why this is happening?

Using a Vivoactive 4 the time is not readable when using a gray background. Solving is switch to white background but this is only possible when using the app. Wich I prefer not to do. Like to use watchface because I use Garmin Pay and when using the app you can’t Pay your coffee without stopping your activity and after paying start a new activity. So solution would be change the background in the watchface to white.

I'm trying to link app with dwmap bit it shows error "Invalid PAC wrong link to dynamicwatch" , although I did input correct code in app settings. I'm desperately trying to get this to work, hope developer can help me with this?

This app used to work fine, but for about 2 month by now I have a problem with connecting to GPS. It takes long time to connect. If I start native Garmin Walk app, it connects to GPS immediately, but this app just doesnt work anymore as it used to work.

I used to use this app and I really liked it because it shows many fields. All of a sudden my Fenix 3HR won’t get satellite connection when I try to use it. I thought it stopped because I was using the free version. So, I went ahead and paid for it. I reset my watch and installed it with the code that the developers sent me. When I tried again, it still won’t get satellite connection but the hiking app that was pre installed on the phone always gets the connection. I am not sure whether it is a problem with the app or the watch.

I have been using this family of apps for a few years now. Worked perfectly and I decided to pay for it - as a show of support. In the past few months, the app changed the behaviour and it is really difficult to start. If there is no GPS signal it will not work. So in the morning when it is cold outside you start the app, put the gloves on and leave the house? Wrong. You need to wait outside in the cold without gloves for the watch to get the GPS signal and then it *might* start. So unless you live without roof over your head - you have a problem. I don't understand why this was changed, but it is a step in the wrong direction. I really hate to write a review like that, bit sadly I have no other option. Sincerely, Luka

Not bad, but missed some funcs: 1. Changing color of trail and arrow 2. Datafields missed - temp(minutes per km), garmin weather info, sunrise info 3. No in-trail user-marks - it would be awessome to just make marks on current position that visible on trail 4. No zoom-in on trail, only zoom-out 5. No back-trail navigation 6. No hr zones stats, only current hr-zone 7. Alt, alt+ and alt- is useful but it takes 3(!) Data fields of 7. How about compact version thar takes only 1 or 2? 8. Clock and battery info not configurable and takes alot of screen space

It’s but , the display’ light is always on, and the battery go down very fast. the gps track is saved as a single lap without being able to customize the distance.

Very good app, supplements the lack of a native hiking app for Garmin Vivoactive. I have just two issues with it: You cannot do anything in the watch without stopping and existing the activity. For example modifying a setting or shutting down an alert (like the stairs alert, etc.). So it could be good for the app to be able to run in the backgroud. Burnet calories stats must be dramatically adjusted. I understand you want to maybe compliment users but to burn 2000 calories in a 4 hours hike it is unfortunately not possible :)

Paid version: The functionality that the app has is working great. However, I am really missing a few things that I cannot easily access due to this being a full application: 1) I would like to be able to use the "take me back" feature without stopping my activity. If bad weather comes, and navigation is hard, then I would really like this feature to be available. Plus the remaining Garmin navigation features for hiking. 2) I do a lot of geocaching while hiking, so I would like to be able to put in coordinates during the activity and navigate to them. If these things could be added, then I would give 5 stars.

Drain battery. Low power mode not working - turns off display for ten seconds, no update after 10s. But other functions are very very good, nice App, have pro version. Thanks for good job.

Finde die App super. Sehr übersichtlich und genau. Habe die Pro Version. Das einzige was mich stört ist, dass ich die App auf meiner vivoactive 4 nicht "minimieren" kann ohne sie hinterher neu zu starten Zum Beispiel beim Wechsel einer Playlist oder so

Nach knapp 5 Stunden ist der Akku nur noch 10% Letzte Wanderung über 7 Stunden war komplett weg, da die Uhr kein Akku hatte und nicht speichern konnte. Damit ist nicht nutzbar. Uhr ist eine Vivoactive 3.

Verwende die verschiedenen Apps vom gleichen Entwickler! Funktionieren alle Tip top insbesondere die individuellen Einstellmöglichkeiten sind der Hammer! Und der Suport ist sagenhaft mann wird nich alleine gelassen.

I emailed the developer and he responded within days with a solution. I really appreciate the fast positive response. This is truly the best hiking app that I have used for activity trackers. As a bonus, it has a snowshoe option!!!
