IMPORTANT: I have received some reports (thanks!) since October '21 that some users had trouble with this - from recent reports, it seems that data is visible in Garmin Connect but no longer in Training Peaks, independent of the app settings. Unluckily I haven't had the time to check this in details, but as there have been no changes on my side, my best guess at this moment is that Training Peaks changed how they handle custom data fields. I am deeply sorry that I have been very busy during the last months and unable to check in detail - I will look into this once I find time. Please be patient, appreciate that someone is working on this for free and don't flood with negative reviews... if you have time, please click the Contact Developer link and let me know if this works for you at this moment or not. Great app/data field Use it to log second power meter and review it on the connect IQ web for validation. But noticed power and cadence lost after about 1hr30min into the activity and recovered 25min later The 2nd power meter works fine when recording alone by the watch Happy to provide log or fit file for debug Thank you

I have a Venu SQ 2 Music, which is not supported by the app (contacted the developer some time ago but no answer). I sideloaded it from an old vivoactive to my watch and it works, connecting in no time to the powermeter of my Elite Direto XR. Garmin Connect does not show the data (very likely because the app does not support my Venu), but power is correctly saved in the FIT file: I am able to see it with other apps, e.g. runalyze (I am also a runner).

This is awesome… real game changer for my FR245 when I forget my bike computer. Still struggling to get power to record for the activity.. or to show average power over a certain interval. It’s a little fiddly but I think it’s possible

It's a pretty impressive app. Scans and connects to my power meter quickly. Shows power and cadence. Although I'm not sure of it's usefulness if the power isn't showing in Training Peaks anymore. Any updates on this? Heck I'd even be willing to help figure it out if needed.

I use the app on my Edge 530 & 1030 and it works file. I have just installed on my Edge 1040 and the Settings button isn't visible and as a result I can't configure. Uninstall/reinstall hasn't made any difference.

Great field! I had despaired of being able to record power on my Vivoactive HR until I discovered it. It works great on the ride albeit with a bit of a lag, possibly due to some smoothing I'm not aware of, which would be a pity because my PM automatically applies a 3 second smoothing to its output. Unfortunately, the data doesn't make it to Strava although everything else does. I know some people do see it on Strava and some don't. It's apparently a hit and miss affair, which is the only reason I deducted one star.

The app does what it says. Works perfectly on my Forerunner 245. You can later get the average, normalized and max power in TrainingPeaks (free account). The only downside is that I cannot find a way to get the data to Strava but that's not the app's fault.

Very useful data fields that work smoothly and simply. He has a 2nd data field too so you could have one power meter DF in bike mode on your FR235 and then a different power meter DF on your indoor bike trainer (not FE-C) in indoor bike mode. I used them for the Vasa swim trainer on a more advanced garmin watch that didn't allow a power meter in swimmode...simple ...add this data field instead !
