Telaga Warna is an old legend from Indonesia, telling a story of a spoiled princess who threw away a necklace made of pearls and diamonds, a birthday gift from her people. Feeling dejected from her arrogant behavior, the tears of her people overflowed the entire kingdom and eventually formed a beautiful lake called Telaga Warna. It was believed that the ever-changing color of the lake was coming from the shattered diamonds and pearls of the necklace.</p>
