This data field shows the lap time based on your position, accurately and reliably. It is designed for use on the athletics track, but can be used on any track where you pass the starting point again. If you press LAP, or if an autolap was triggered, that point will replace the starting point.</p><p></p><p>It shows just one value, so you can combine it with other data fields of your choice, e.g. heart rate.</p>

I am happy that there are some people to implement ‘auto lap by (start) position’ function for newer watches, which was a core function 8-10 years ago (see 310XT and 910XT). It seems that for the time being the lap/split data generated by this data field are not written to the .fit file. Are you planning to add this functionality? Thx a lot, Zoltan

Hi, thanks for your feedback! Unfortunately, for a data field it is not possible to create laps in the .fit file. I am looking into alternative options: - Add lap times to the session info - Create a Track Racer App that replace running activity and automatically creates a new lap on passing the start position - Create an online analytic tool that can afterwards analyze your activity and list the lap time
