Color Notes for Garmin Venu Watch I like this application that allows you to keep useful facts to hand on your watch. IN-CASE-OF-EMERGENCY information & key data if your phone is lost are useful. The online documentation on how to use it could however to be improved because it is controlled differently on the different watches that can host it such as the Forerunner 235 or the newer Venu with a touch screen and two butttons. Indeed the companion app on the different smartphones, IOS or AnDroid, that are needed to compose and upload the narrative for the wanted text screens differ too. I discovered that on an iphone with Connect already running (albeit in the background) and then opening the Garmin companion app r.485 (NOT the Notepad one), you can get multiple screens of text, each with a differently coloured background, if on the iphone you: (1) select the right target device by touching that phrase, (2) select the screen colour by scrolling the options, (3) past your preprepared text, (4) turn off the option to auto delete at a desired date and then (5) touch SEND. When your screens are sent, go back to Connect on the phone and press the sync icon. When that is done for the screens you want you should see a progress bar complete and its had time to upload then go to the Venu watch, swipe down on the screen until you have the Color Note widget and press the screen to get the first screen of text. Then swipe UP on the screen to toggle between the other screen(s) of text. The documentation in Connect IO is for a different watch phone combination and that frustrated initially but the developer tried hard to help and we, in the end, got it to work and fulfil the need.

Hi! Thanks for you review. The link in the description takes you to "Maps and more!", which is a single mobile app that communicates with multiple apps we have for your watch. It's more interesting because you don't have to install multiple apps on your phone if you want to use some of our watch-apps. The "sub-apps" are very lightweight, so it isn't too bad if you don't use some of them (i.e. even if you use only two or three, it's still better than having more apps on your phone). Cheers!

The devices must be paired and syncing via the Garmin Connect app. It may happen that the Garmin Connect app is automatically closed by the Android OS. Ich liebe dieses Widget. Notizen, Aufgaben oder Erinnerungen lassen sich problemlos aus der iOS Begleit-App auf die Fenix5 senden. Das Designe der Nachricht ist in Farbe und Form individuell anpassbar. Vor dem Senden unbedingt die Devise wählen (Choose farget device) und Buetoothverbindung zwischen Uhr und Smartphone herstellen!

Great app on my fenix 5x. My family and I travel a lot and can now keep all passport details etc on my wrist. Also, relevant vehicle info is always with me. Lots of separate pages, easily accessable and instant help from the developer. Nothing more needed
