Data-driven workouts let you train harder and smarter: Pair Under Armour Connected Shoes to your Garmin watch to get real-time Foot Strike Angle (FSA) and Ground Contact Time (GCT) while you run.

First, pair your UA Connected Shoes via the MapMyRun app to ensure you have the latest firmware edition. The Garmin watch will automatically search for and connect to your UA Connected Shoes. Both stats display on larger data fields. Only the Primary stat will display on smaller data fields. So dissapointed in this app/data field. Recovering from a serious accident and purchased Machina shoes to gain more data and info to aid in rehab/recovery. Bit after almost a whole day of trying to get the FSA to work on my new Fenix 6 Pro, I am feeling extremely let down Yes I have done everything how it has been described in all instructions and no the shoe is not directly connected to the watch as a foot pod. Have tried with phone switched off, all apps closed, phone left at house, everything. This data field will not connect on the watch. The FSA flashes indicating it is searching for the shoe, but nothing connects. Really hate waisting tie and money on what should have been easy to set up.

No good for me. I bought a couple of pairs to use on a treadmill. I need the footpod functionality for run accuracy, sadly can't be used at the same time as this

I couldn't get both values to update 100% of the time, which isn't great but would be OK. My problem is that when used this way instead of being paired as a footpod it doesn't also send pace and cadence. Since most of my runs are on a treadmill I don't have GPS and arm swing isn't always very accurate. If this were added I'd love to try it again. Note I have 3 pair of UA HOVR, I find the accuracy awesome!

Works well when paired with UA Hovr Sonic 3. However, the battery on my Venu drains rapidly even when I'm not recording any activity or wearing any other shoe. Need to uninstall the app.

Connection between my garmin vivoactive 4 and mapmyrun works, watch uploads every training into mapmyrun, but i can’t find ua widget on watch. I tried developer’s advice still no data on watch. Unfortunately have to delete app.

Unfortunately only one star as it is not giving me any metrics on my Forerunner 945. I enjoy analyzing my running data and a connected shoe seemed very interesting. Connection to the watch works but I don't get any data.

Hey there! We apologize for the inconvenience. Please pair your shoes to the UA MapMyRun app first and also make sure you have not connected natively to the shoe Foot Pod via “Sensors & Accessories” in the Garmin Settings menu. Once you install the data field on a watch face, your watch will vibrate when the shoes automatically connect to the watch. Then the FSA will populate a couple seconds after you begin your workout. 5 stars for the easy initial configuration. The metrics seem ok. I'll have to do some more workouts in order to determine if they are accurate

Version 2 works well. I enjoy the added data that comes through into Connect. Hopfully at some point Garmin will integrate the information from the shoes natively in the way they treat foot pods.

After some experimentation, I'm going back to using my Hovr as a footpad only. Apart from the issue of duplicate workouts (linking GC to MMR to get the MVP coaching data always seems to give you duplicate workouts (with different data) - if you use this data field, then beware if you also have a HRM-RUN or other device that gives running dynamics - it becomes the primary source and so you no longer see GCT balance etc - you get the RD data from the shoe only. Runalyze confirms this, as there's a lot of RD data provided by this (cadence, speed, GCT, FSA) and you seemingly can only have one source of RD data

I hope UA keeps building apps that work with Garmin. This app works if you follow the directions. Don’t pair the shoes in the watch.
