But from last week there is only logo in my datafield, and when I scroll data fields JMGDRFRunningVO2 blinks from table data to just only logo. Hello and thanks for your comment. I suggest you completely delete the datafield from your watch, re-sync the watch with Connect to delete temp and additional files then, do a soft reset of your watch. After that, reinstall the datafield / fresh new install. If the problem persists after that, feel free to email me, we'll try to find a solution to the problem when I have more details about it.

I'm grateful this data field exists for my Venu Sq, I have a few questions: first, is there a way to store the vo2 data after each exercise, and second, if you can provide a brief summary (via link or other) of how to settings should be configured relative to our exercising habits to ensure accurate measurements. Hello Scott and thanks for your comment. The VO2 is automatically saved in the FIT file of each session so, you can view the result in your Connect dashboard (graph + summary data). Additionally, the smoothed VO2 max is permanently stored into the settings of the datafield, you can view it when you open the settings file window in Garmin Connect app. About the second part of your comment, there are not really any parameters to define according to habits, you just have to choose the calibration duration, knowing that the longer it will be, the more the result will be precise (but not more reliable) over the duration of the race.

Ciao, sono nuova della corsa ma pare che sul Venu funzioni bene. Rispetto al vo2 calcolato da garmin è più basso ma soprattutto vorrei capire perché mi sale e mi scende da una corsa all'altra nel giro di due giorni. È normale?

Ciao Donatella e grazie per il tuo commento. Questo campo di dati calcola il tuo VO2 max per ogni uscita, quindi, a seconda delle tue prestazioni che potrebbero essere diverse da un'uscita all'altra, è normale che il tuo VO2 possa variare in modo significativo. Per avere un risultato uniforme su tutte le tue uscite, devi guardare il VO2 massimo livellato che rappresenta il tuo VO2 massimo calcolato su tutte le sessioni.

Bonjour et merci pour votre réponse, mais j'ai pourtant bien installé le data Field dans le champ de données. J'ai une sonnerie qui retentit après 10' de course qui doit correspondre au début du test Cooper ainsi qu'une sonnerie retentissant au bout de 16' (j'ai paramétré le test sur 6'), néanmoins je n'ai aucun texte qui apparait!

La dépense énergétique est une mesure développée par FirstBeat qui fournit une estimation du taux de calories brûlées calculé à partir des données de fréquence cardiaque. Cette valeur est exprimée en kilocalories par minute (kcals/min). La smoothed VO2 max est une valeur calculée par le data field, et correspond à la valeur moyenne de votre VO2 max lissée sur l'ensemble de vos sessions.

Hello Raul, and thanks for your comment. I've just tested the app into the simulator and it seems that there is a strange bug somewhere when starting the datafield. I fix that as soon as possible, and the new release with the fix should be available tomorrow. Sorry for this inconvenient.

Excellent travail ! C'est un régal d'utiliser ce champ de données. Bravo ! Il y a une différence entre mes perfos calculées par garmin et cette app, comme pour de nombreux utilisateurs, mais le calcul de VO2 est une chose difficile qui dépend de nombreux paramètres très difficiles à estimer. Donc très utile et belle apparence. Je serais ravi de contribuer à ajouter des paramètres... Je suis détenteur de plusieurs brevets de calcul de performance sportive et ils ne demandent qu'à être utilisés !

Pour accéder aux settings, 2 possibilités: soit via Garmin Connect puis accès aux settings du data field (si votre modèle de montre ne permet pas d'accéder aux settings directement sur la montre), soit directement sur la montre: ouvrez la sélection des datafields insérés dans le profil sportif, positionnez-vous sur ce data field puis, appui sur la touche UP de la montre, vous entrez dans les settings. Si vous n'y arrivez toujours pas, n'hésitez pas à m'adresser un mail, je vous expliquerai alors la procédure plus en détails.

HI, I've been using this datafield for a month or a bit more. And i'm trying to understand the logic behind. Is it normal that my vo2max in garmin is 47 and that during the spring workout this data field shows vo2max at 70 ? or is it a bug ?

Why the variance in v02 max between this and Garmin app? I also see that cardiac drift is available in details of my run from this app; I don't see any mention of that in the details provided here; can you share how that is calculated?

Algorithms are probably different but, after a certain number of sessions, you will see that the smoothed VO2 will tend to approach the VO2 calculated by Garmin Cardiac drift is explained in the text description, as follow: Cardiac drift corresponds to a large upward deviation of the HR at equal speed / pace. In this DF, the cardiac drift begins to be checked and calculated after 10 minutes of running, the drift is displayed next to the HR and these 2 values then go red as long as there is a drift.

Hello Thato and thanks for your comment. I did not personally update the datafield on this 10/21, it was an automatic one from Garmin so, you can check the background color of your data fields in the general settings of your activity, this Garmin update may have changed it
