Dear Developer, I have a Venu 2 plus device and installed this datafield to track indoor swimming. It was fully functional but not perfect. 1. On my Venu 2 plus, at the field which is to the left of distance, below to Laps, and above AVG Pace, there is a strange V symbol which is always showing 0:00. I checked the App description and guess here it should be PACE or AVG Stroke. Anyhow it should not be a V symbol constantly showing 0:00. 2. The layout geometry could be improved. The AVG PACE field exceeds a little to the right, which is the Elapsed Time field. Besides, the bottom row is also weird in its horizontal and vertical positions. 3. I don't get what the green progress bar at the very middle is for. I don't see anything explaining what's this progress meaning. Progress of a certain Lap, or HR percentage? Overall I sincerely appreciate this App and hope to use it for all future swimming. I would appreciate it even more if features could be even improved for Venu 2 Plus.

Quizás tenga mucho más interés saber mi pulso y no las calorías quemadas, que es algo que interesa saber al final del entrenamiento. El pulso es bueno saberlo en todo momento sobretodo cuando entrenamos con más interés en el pulso que en el ritmo.

First restart the watch to complete the install, then It is a datafield and needs added to the garmin builtin app, here is how to add. From the watch face, Long press the up button or touchscreen, Scroll to Activity & Apps, Select ACTIVITY, ACTIVITY Settings, Data Screens, Scroll to screen to add DozenSwim or Add new screen, Press Start button (pencil icon). Set layout to single screen (enter screen) Scroll to Data fields, press Start Button (screen will blink), press Start Button again, Select ConnectIQ Fields, DozenSwim. That will add DozenSwim data field to the Garmin Swim App. Press back until the watch face. Please update your review when installed.

жаль, что вы съели проблему, это не приложение. Это поле данных, которое необходимо добавить во встроенное приложение Garmin. Вот как это сделать. Новые часы CIQ 3.0+ «АКТИВНОСТЬ» - это встроенная функция, которую необходимо настроить (бег, велосипед, гребля, SUP или плавание). На циферблате нажмите и удерживайте кнопку вверх или сенсорный экран, прокрутите до Действия и приложения, Выберите АКТИВНОСТЬ, Настройки АКТИВНОСТИ, Экраны данных, прокрутите до экрана, чтобы добавить Дюжину ____ или Добавить новый экран, нажмите кнопку «Пуск» (значок карандаша). Установите макет на один экран (введите экран) Прокрутите до полей данных, нажмите кнопку «Пуск» (экран будет мигать), снова нажмите кнопку «Пуск», выберите «Поля ConnectIQ», «Дюжина». Это добавит поле данных Dozen____ в приложение Garmin Run. Нажимайте назад, пока не появится циферблат.

Hello, I’m a new Vivoactive 3 user and this app is my swimming favorite though: What exactly does Pace Period mean ? (Pace Period=12 sec) and After pressing the Stop button, the DOZEN Swim screen is displayed only about 5sec and then changes to "save." Is this time changeable, if yes, then how? thank you in advance.

The installation worked well and the data field looks nice. However, the automatic lap count doesn’t work for me at all and the total length is incorrect. Shall I switch off GPS while using the data field? I set the pool length to 50m and the pace period to 12 seconds. Still, I don’t know what the latter means (also moving average). As a workaround I count my laps manually, pressing the watch button for a new round after every lap. However, even than the data field while swimming and Garmin Connect afterwards do not count the total distance correct, although it is simple math, e.g. 28 laps x 50m = 1,400m. I don’t know what to further do and consider getting a new watch (I am using Garmin Forerunner 235) with an in-built swim function. Anybody has a clue how to still optimise the use of Dozen Swim?

I’m a new Vivoactive 3 user. I’m still struggling a bit with how to make everything work while swimming. When I hit the rest button, the standard rest timer screen takes over so I can’t see the data screen. Seems like I can only see the data screen if I don’t hit the rest button. Is that correct? Thx...

Thanks for reviewing, Yes, that is how the base Garmin Swim App behaves. My App SwimSports+ is more configureable and allows you to view other screens while at rest. SwimSport+ is based on the Dozen Swim but is a Complete App and calculates laps more efficiently than the Garmin Base app. It uses 5 difference metrics to determine if a lap occurred and can add distance. I'm swimming in quite a small pool, 8m. The dozen swim data field counts much more pools than I really do. It counted around 110 laps when I did only around 60-65. Does changing the "roll pace" parameter might change the accuracy? I set it to 5s which is the average time for me to change direction. Should it improve conuting if I'll increase it a bit? I see that the default is 12s.

Thanks for reviewing, this data field uses the Garmin Swim App distance, which Garmin uses the App Lap Distance which is 25m minimum. that is where the additional distance is coming from. My App SwimSports+ allows Small pool Lengths down to 5 meters and will give better results.

This is an excellent app, I have been using it for quite a while and it is accurate 99.99% of the time. Any errors a user caused. It provides feedback every 10 lengths, so I only need to count how many lenghts×10. I typically swim 2 miles each swim. It is easy to switch between yards (indoor pool) and meters (outdoor pool). The data reports back to the phone app and you can get details for every length if desired. I did have a problem and the developer was very responsive.
