I can't pay for something that doesn't work. Aeris doesn't give relevant data, and upon checking info for rainViewer api, the api is free to use. So what am i paying for? Dev says that api is not free https://www.rainviewer.com/api.html

If the app is not working, why did you not use the contact developer link so I can help troubleshoot what is going on? Regarding the subscription fee there are different costs associated with each radar source used in the widget. AerisWeather radar data is not free and is the only one I ever claimed was not free. While RainViewer's API is free, the data they provide is not usable on the ConnectIQ devices without additional processing, such as map overlay and formatting for the device screen, for which I have developed a web service to process the images each time the widget is run. So the annual subscription fee goes to cover either the costs of radar data when using AerisWether or the costs to processing the free RainViewer data to make it compatible with your device. I provide the widget as an option in the store and only try to cover my costs associated with providing the widget. So only you can determine if the widget adds enough value to pay the subscription or not.

Very reliable on my Fr 645M. The addition of a 2nd radar source is appreciated. I'm surprised by some of the poor reviews. Reading the instructions would have fixed most of the issues and the widget creator usually replies with help. People spend a lot of time creating these things and likely don't get much in return. These apps aren't magic. If the hardware or Garmin CIQ doesn't support a function then there's nothing the app creator can do. The trial period is generous and the yearly fee is more than fair.

If you are having problems getting the location, start an activity and make sure you get the GPS ready alert. After that you can cancel the activity and try the widget again. Sometimes if it has been a while since the GPS was used the location time can exceed the widget time out on the device.

Only static screenshot with red note "Trial 12/19/2020" visible in Munich area. Does not matter which input source is selected. Therefore unfortunately not practical at the current state :(

Not all devices can support animated images, it sounds like you may have one of the limited devices. In Munich, RainViewer is the best source for your area. The trial on the screen is a reminder of when your free trial expires and goes away once subscribed.

I'm not sure why others are having problems, or saying it never works. I tried this widget when it was first released and it works perfectly for me. I work outdoors and use it all the time to see if the rain is coming. It's kept me dry on several occasions. Great work.
