Версия Beta 4.3.2
Great app overall, that match my need. One thing I think could make it better at least for my use is a way to skip the start timer and to directly go to the recording the session. It would be very appreciated when training.

Версия Beta 4.3.2
By far, the best racing app for Garmin watches! In particular the countdown feature is outstanding: asking for confirmation when syncing so there are no accidental syncs, shows wall clock time (including seconds) all the time (useful when races start at a wall clock time point or just seeing the time of day), possibility to adjust minutes up/down WHILE THE CLOCK IS RUNNING and without affecting the countdown seconds. This is the way it should be done! Also show SOG & COG, headers/lifts, navigation to marks, and has an advanced "chart" feature on the larger watch models. Compared to Garmin Quatix watches? Well.... Have had a Quatix 5, and found the sail race facilities completely useless to be honest. Now have a Quatix 6, but still prefer raceQs due to the clear screens, auto navigation to marks on up-down courses, and easy of use. However, the Q6 Sail Race app seem more configurable in the screens. But raceQs is available for a large range and selection of Garmin watches, so you can easily start using your normal Garmin running or smart watch for sailing as well :-) On top of this the developer is very responsive via the Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100063469751184. Have had improvements done after suggestions and a bug fixed within 24 hours!

Версия Beta 4.1.3
Best Yatch racing app. It shows great info while you sail, can set a start line and tell you whether you’re late or early, distance to line, etc. Best of all is that it then uploads the tracks automatically to your RaceQS account, and you can analyse your race or training session from home.

GUI doesn't work on Venu 2. All text is displayed ontop of each other.

Ah, yes, sorry. We have overlooked reformatting the "Unregistered" display for the hi resolution screens like the Venu 2. Most of our users run in the "Registered" mode, so aren't affected. A one-star rating for a bug, is a pretty harsh review, fully bug-free software is really hard to do, and there are lots of very happy users. But now it's fixed in latest version 4.1.3

Not a great app. The activity doesn't log like sail racer. 3 minimum screen that don't do much. Speed inaccurate.

Can we suggest you explore the "Automatic Upload" feature that displays your track in the raceQs replay site? It's much appreciated by many of our users. We have kept the primary user interface to three screens for ease of use, but characterising them as "don't do much" is perhaps selling them a bit short. We have no reports of "speed inaccurate". Could you be misinterpreting the smoothing that is necessary to filter out the "random noise" generated by GPS chipset that is probably tuned for speeds significantly higher than the 5-10 knot profile of a sailboat? We would thoroughly investigate any examples submitted via the Contact Developer link. are outside that scale.

Версия Beta 3.13.1
Great, usually. But we run pursuit races that don't start on even minutes. Can we adjust seconds on the start down timer? Have asked several times but no action.

As you are probably aware, there is very limited ability in the watch to support numeric input on a watch, so designing and developing a simple and intuitive working method to enter a number from 0 to 60 for the dozens of device combinations that the app currently supports presents a not insignificant investment on our behalf. We believe that such a feature would be of benefit to a very small audience, so we don't see it as a worthwhile benefit/cost project. Sorry that you feel ignored. If you can offer a higher benefit profile, we could reconsider.

Версия Beta 3.12
This version come with some bugs working in a vivoactiveHR. -When pressing to begin the counting down to a race it asks “sync clock by 0 seconds?” -The race start is just broken!!

Here's the problem. You are getting this behaviour because of an unexpected "feature" of the VA-HR. I believe you're seeing this behaviour when you're using the start timer when you are not actually moving. Being a racing app, it assumes you are on a moving boat. The app's clock is driven by the signal from the GPS which normally sends a time and position report every second. On the current version of the VA-HR firmware, when the Garmin GPS software detects you are not moving, it stops sending the app this position signal. So the app's clock freezes. When you press the button first, it sets the app into "countdown" mode, but because the clock is frozen, the timer appears to be frozen. When you press the button the second time, it correctly interprets your intention to sync the timer, hence the "sync by 0 seconds" message. It's annoying and confusing. And it only happens on the VA-HR. It works fine if you are moving

The countdown works perfectly. But once the race starts every time i look at my wrist the App is asking me if i want to quit. It appears that water splashing on the watch is the same as tapping the screen. Not much use to a dinghy racer as i spend too much time fiddling with it to try and make it work again.

Версия Beta 3.8.7
Absolutely no way to make it work with fenix 6x zafiro. A couple of versions ago it hang the watch completely at 5 or 10 minutes of racing. The new version keeps in the "login" screen and never goes beyond. The most disspointing and annoying app ever. I suggest everyone really needing one siling race/cruise app to try "... another sailing app". At least you don't end up all angry.

Sorry to hear of your disappointment. Yes. it's true, we have released versions that have been unreliable, but we have worked hard to overcome the issues as quickly as possible. There are quite a lot of pretty happy people using the app. Your current problem with login is an issue with your watch not connecting to your phone - the bluetooth connection often fails to operate, especially with iPhones. Please restart your watch and restart Garmin Connect on your phone and the login should proceed. If it continues to fail, please contest us through the "Contact Developer" option on this page.

I've been using the RaceQ app on my phone for a couple of years primarily in Flying Scot regattas. I currently have the Garmin Quatix watch and downloaded the RaceQ app. It's great. It's fun to use and definitely provides good usable info during a race. Please keep the app current. Thanks
