You enter the TIME (in hours) and the DISTANCE (in miles or km) as User Settings. Then this Data Field provides you with the average speed so far (both elapsed and moving speed), and the speed you need to average for the rest of the ride, in order to achieve your goal distance in the time allowed. You can set it for any time (1-100hr) and any Distance (10-1500 miles or km). </p><p></p><p>You also pick ELAPSED or MOVING as the mode. This defines the target speed. For a race, you'll want to set it to ELAPSED (since the clock never stops). But for a training ride, you might find MOVING to be better for you. The GREEN circle is your ELAPSED speed so far. The BLUE circle is your MOVING speed so far. And the RED bar is the speed you need to average for the rest of the ride to achieve your goal.</p>
