Novidades

This version of Multi is significantly more complex, both in software and user functionality than my other Multi Datafields. I expect there will be some issues and bugs, bear with me and provide as much detail about any issues you may find.</p><p></p><p>1. Localisation has been provided for the data field labels only. Text for the settings in the Connect IQ App is provided in English only at this stage. This is to reduce the software complexity and increase the maintainability. Hope this is OK?</p>

Have used this app for months now. Issue I have run into is that when I go to reconfig the boxes, the titles change but the data doesn't. Is there a fix action for this?

Thanks for your feedback. It would really help me if you have a query that you ask via contact developer rather than leaving a poor review. Anyway some questions to help me investigate: 1) is this all configurable fields? 2) is it during an activity? Does it fix itself in a new activity? 3) what language are you using 4) what device and software version do you have? If you use contact developer I get this automatically from Garmin. Thanks Robert

I have changed the code (V1.0.39) so I now calculate Max Cadence and Average Cadence rather than relying on the Garmin values. Can you let me know if this works? Hopefully it will still work for cyclists

Sorry but Garmin does not provide this data to app developers yet. The request has been made so hopefully it will be provided in the future.

Good job for this app, thanks! Just some things that could be added to be perfect: - slope rate with GPS measurement. I have an other app with this, ans et work vert well. - vertical speed (in m/hour) like we use in ski touring based on gps or barometric measurement - possibility to show or hide the first Line of informations, on a Garmin forunner 245 for exemple, if don't use this fonctionnalité it takes place and we can not clearly read the other items especially when WE dont use the functions.

Great data field. Installs easily. Easily configured. Easy to read on my fenix 6pro. Shows all the data I need on a run etc. Might be nice if the HR field changed colour with the relevant zone, but otherwise little to change.

The altitude gained or lost shown in the data field are the figures calculated by Garmin in your watch. I do not process any of this data. You may get better results if you use a watch with a built in barometer.

Thanks for the feedback. I am extremely limited on memory for the datafield. In order to add more functionality I will either need to change it to an app or only allow it to be used on devices with more memory. I'll bare it in mind next time I do a major update.

Check out the 'What's new section' for the App. 3. Added support for slope / gradient. Change current power to 3s average. Not often I get to add a new feature before it is asked for :-)

The gradient function requires that your device has a barometric pressure sensor. The GPS is not accurate enough over short distances (GPS jitter) to be able to calculate gradient changes. The way it works is that it calculates your change in altitude over a short period of time and hence the gradient you have just travelled over. Rather than displaying wildly inaccurate data when there is no barometer, the software checks for a barometer before calculating and displaying the results. The Forerunner 245 does not have a barometric sensor.

The background color of the datafield follows the background color you have set for the watch. What device do you have? Does it have a backgound color option? Some of the newer OLED watches do not support white background to stop screen burn in.

Looks good. Tiny issue: the speed goal (km or miles per hour) setting won't accept a decimal point. Doesn't matter much for biking, but 15 or 15.5 or 16 km/h makes a huge difference when you run.

I must admit I use Pace for running. Also there is additional race functionality for Pace if you take a look at the configurable settings. Do you use speed for running?

Speed comes from whatever sensors you have. If you have a wheel sensor the speed should be more accurate, but if you only have GPS then it will be as accurate as the GPS is. However you probably won't notice much difference between the two at average cycling speeds.
