The BBS Power Targets data field displays an athlete's race plan power targets in real time as the athlete progresses through the course. Please note that this data field will only work in conjunction with Garmin Power Course (.FIT) files generated with the Best Bike Split application. I've installed both apps onto my 530. Then I added the BBS Power data field to my screen. Then I loaded the Power Course onto unit and started the course using the BBS Connect IQ "load course" function. But no numbers show up in the data field. I do get the notifications pop up that show the power I'm supposed to ride the next segment at (which makes me confident that the power course is loaded correctly), but if I'm not able to look at my screen in time during the race, then I miss it. And the text is really small, which is super hard for me to read in a race because I don't have my prescription glasses on during races. Pretty bummed that I spent the $$ on BBS and couldn't get this to work correctly for my Ironman.

I just got a Garmin 830 and have downloaded and synced but do not see the BBS power target to add to my display for my race course. I have had a Wahoo Bolt and that was easy, I love this new 830 but I need this to work so I can race appropriately on 9/12/21. It says the 830 is compatible. Can anyone help?

Not so much a review but an echo of other reviews and a question. Just HOW do you load BBF as a power option when it is not there in the first place? I have spent days getting this sorted and finally managed one trip but could not see any power option and cannot set up the screen as shown Heeeeelp

Works perfect on my Garmin 1030. You just add BBS Power as one of your data screen options are you are good to go! Very Impressed.

I’m only giving a 1 star since it does not appear to work on my Edge 130. I know the power course file is good as I have used it successfully on a 920XT. Can the developer verify that it is supposed to work on Edge 130 (It is listed in the Compatible Devices) and if so please have a look into why it doesn’t work on an Edge 130. It looks like a great data field once I can get it to work but I won’t sign up to BBS service until I know I can use this field on my 130. Thanks in advance.

How can I use this app? I have both apps of Best Bike Split, download of Power Courses is working, but I can't display this data field anywhere on my Edge 820 bike computer.

IF it worked on my Edge 820 v11.20, it would be cool. but... it does not work very often. BBS Power says "Cont. to Next" instead of a watts number, or shows NP for the ride continuously, you just never know. Sometimes I get prompts for turns instead of prompts for watts. Perhaps frequent Garmin s/w changes break it? The BBS setup FAQ is not up to date for Garmin s/w at least. I guess I will print out the "tips" page from a given route/race and tape that to my toptube instead, which is disappointing.

Even though I have been using BBS for a while to plan power and times, I had not realised that this was available. I installed it and after contacting support over the "No data" message (which is because I was not at the start of course), I then used for a 10 mile TT. I'm amazed how accurate the prediction was. After following the BBS power, I was within .03mph, 3 seconds on the time, IF was bang on, NP 2.6w, and wkg .04!! Absolutely amazing, and especially if you are a bit of a messy rider like me. With this data field, I've been able to ride courses at personal best times with lower normalized power and variability than ever before. I feel like there are two minor features missing which I have only rated this as 4 stars... if those features get implemented, it will be 5.
