Best datafield out there. Very hard drinking all the beer if you are a ultra runner.

Thanks for that great app. My only little complain is that icon on my Edge 830 in small field is terribly big, and it doesn’t look nice.

Can’t figure out how to get it to show up on my Venu 2s

On all Garmin watches, the data field must be manual added to the stat screens for each activity you want to use it with. You’ll want to add a field for Connect IQ : Beers Earned Plus. See this video for the Venu 2 series: https://youtu.be/Xef1Ho41Pnk

Love this data field. It's never leaving my 6x or 7x. One minor point though, the changes in 2.4 have left the numbers looking slightly 'squashed' on the Fenix, especially in an 8 field layout. Kind of tall and thin. It looked better before IMO.

You're entirely right here. Each device only has about 5 font sizes built in (and they're different on every device). In order to be able to adjust those numbers to any size of data field on any device, AND ensure that 2 digits can be shown, I embed a font into the data field with about a dozen different sizes. This way it can adjust to any data field size or device without being limited to the ones included on each watch.

By far the most useful app on my Vivioctive 3. Sitting in a pub at the moment catching up on my beer earnings! Real incentive to walk a bit further to another pub.

I have this installed, but it does not show up as an option on my custom data screens underneath activity settings. I have a fenix 5.

First step....verify in the Connect IQ app that it's installed (sometimes it gets stuck as "queued"). Garmin doesn't make it easy to use Connect IQ data fields. After you install them on your device, you must manually add it as a data field to EACH ACTIVITY you want to use it in (for example, running, biking, hiking, etc.). For an example of this on the Fenix 5 watches, watch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5HYBabeB2s. Basically, in the activity, go to its settings, then data screens, and then add a screen or select an existing screen. Within that screen, and select the Connect IQ » Beers Earned as one of the data fields.

I just upgraded my Garmin and this is the first thing I put on it. Indispensable. Garmin should buy out the dev (for a shedload of money) and have this screen preinstalled on all devices.

The version 2.4 update lost the ability to select the background color of either white or black. Please bring back this feature.

I just released v2.4.1 to address this. Previously, the user had to select a color, and it would not honor the default of the device they were using. Now it uses the device default background color, but you can override it in the settings (like before). Note that if you select "Stout" as the beer style, the background will always be white (or else the stout is too dark to see).

Awesome app which perfectly fits my running motivation. It would be nice if the beer glass would appear bigger on the screen. And maybe choose different sizes? Pint, schooner, 0,25...

How can I see beers earned when activity has been finished? Thank you very much! Fénix 6x pro.

On the Garmin Connect Mobile app, view the details for an activity (you have to have recorded it using an activity with the Beers Earned data field configured). At the VERY bottom of the 2nd tab you'll see the cumulative total, and the bottom of the 4th tab is a yellow graph showing how they were earned. In Garmin Connect for the web, it's at the bottom of the activity details screen, under the heading "Connect IQ"

The fact it earns me 8 beers for a 13 mile ride gets a five star rating. Or the devs want us all to get liver disease.

That does seem like a high number of beers (that might only earn me 2-3 beers), unless you're riding a fat tire single-gear or something. You may want to go into the settings in Connect IQ mobile and make sure the "calories per beer" is set correctly (it defaults to 150).

Like the idea but wish there was a better way to look back on beers earned. A calendar type view or a weekly running total of beers earned would improve this

Those are all great ideas! And while you can view the Bears Earned on each individual workout (in Connect or Connect Mobile), unfortunately Garmin's Connect IQ restrictions don't provide a way to do this. If that changes in the future, I'll definitely look into implementing it!

As a data field, It doesn't activate on its own (Garmin's limitation). please read the app description of how it must be added to a data screen for each activity you wish to use it with. If you'd like more specific help, please use the "Contact Developer" link.

I have tested this data field on multiple physical devices, and have not encountered this issue. Could you use the "Contact Developer" link to send me information on which device you're using it on, and perhaps a short video of what you're seeing?

This data field has become my sole motivation for even using my Garmin!!! Beers Earned is genius!!! I agree with another rating that I just read...I’d like a notification added for each beer earned! Nonetheless, this data field works flawlessly for me! Please maintain your integrity!

The single most important data field I've ever had lol! Brilliant idea. What I would really love to see is a sound when you've earned a beer!

Thanks, it really is my most important field too! I'd not thought of adding a notification (I don't want it to conflict with the lap sound/vibration), but it looks like there is an API for it, so I'll look into adding it (configurable to enable/disable of course).

Loved this app when I downloaded it months ago. But recently it doesn't work anymore with my Fenix 6s. It doesn't show the beers and when I click into it, it leads me to the Garmin Connect to re-download the app. Even after I do so, it still brings me to the same app download page and no longer shows the beers per run.

Hi guy's, I love your add-on for my watch. But it would be nice to have an daily, monthly and yearly overview, how much beers I've had earned at all.

It's super-hidden (thanks Garmin). On your phone, go to Connect IQ app, select "My Device" then "My Data Fields." The "Beers Earned" data field should be in there, select that, and then there should be a "Settings" button on the details page. THAT is where you configure it.
