Hi there and thanks for the feedback. The data field is not really designed to be used in place of a variometer, especially since I can't control where the elevation information comes from -- it could come from the GPS or the barometric altimeter and there's no way to know which and that makes the VSI information not dependable enough. Regardless, unfortunately the Connect IQ API does not grant me enough control to produce tones that would simulate what a variometer sounds like so
