Race Screen is a data field for Garmin watches that displays the most relevant information for running a race or training. It also corrects the difference between the GPS-measured distance and the actual race course distance: pressing the lap button when passing a course marker rounds the distance it displays and adjusts the average pace accordingly. Race Screen is not an App but a Data Field. It will not appear in the list of Apps on the watch. Instead, you need to display it as a field within another App, like the standard built-in Run App. After installing Race Screen on your watch from Garmin's Connect IQ Store, go to the main Settings menu, Activities & Apps, Run, Run Settings, Data Screens. Configure a data screen with 1 Field as the layout, in Data Fields select Connect IQ Fields, and select Race Screen. See https://racescreen.org

I have downloaded this and have no clue how to see this on my Fenix 5s Plus. I have seen it is compatible, shows it’s downloaded in Connect. Please help! Would be so helpful for marathon #2

I've used this app to pace myself during a marathon and several halves. It's been great to help me figure my pace in relation to the course. I am also a pacer and it's been fantastic in helping me get others over the line in the correct time. Using it for the Robin Hood half on Sunday. Highly recommend.

Not working on the new Garmin Fénix 7x. If Garmin could fix it that'd be great. Data doesn't show properly on the screen and it just doesn't work.

Absolutely bloomin' brilliant, especially for marathons in cities where GPS might be "wobbly". The only things that could be improved are a) a better input screen for the distance / time configuration (why do we have to rely on seconds and metres?) and b) perhaps a simplified screen with less on it to make it easier to glance at mid-race. I am recommending this to anyone who will listen!

Worked really nicely for my marathon. I tested it once in my shake-out run, and had no problems with it on race day (I only forgot to manually hit my split once, and the app recognizes that you went 2 miles, not 1). It took me a few minutes to figure out that I need to configure race distance (in meters) from the connectIQ app on my phone.
