Great little app. I've been using it a few weeks as a paid subscriber and despite having a limited number of weather stations near my riding locations (not the developers fault), it's pretty accurate. I frequently ride where there are a lot of trees and I like knowing what kind of wind I'm going to face when I transition to less sheltered areas. The only thing I'd like to see is the ability to turn on labels for each of the chosen data values, I have bad memory.

i've thought about that and had other requests for it. the problem i have is i don't have any remaining room on the screen since i've put so many features in already :). and abbreviations won't work because i support over 20 languages. thanks for the review.

Excellent app. Helps a lot when riding in windy / gusty conditions like here in northern Germany. Good to know when you come out of a forest to the open field where the crosswind may hit you. Had some issues with my phone that led to a situation where the app did not refresh or work at all. Scott replied immediately (within a few hours) to my request and we sorted it out. Great support as well! Highly recommended. Worth every penny.

Good app, but with my Garmin 1040 solar, I am having to reset my Garmin each time I ride, i have been reseting the Garmin @ the very start & it doesn't crash then. THIS ONLY HAPPENS WHEN I OPEN THE WIND APP, not sure what to do. It's pretty frustrating.

please email me with details. or hit the contact developer link. i'm happy to help if you send me details. i'm unaware of any issues on the 1040 series. i've had one since they came out and have not had any issues since garmin fixed that original firmware problem

Great idea. Very useful. Unfortunately the wind is wind, and very unpredictable as such. Meaning this is only a general guidance of wind in your area. Local wind speed and even direction can be very different.

If you are interested in Weather, this is the app. It integrates into a data field(s) within your data screens - not a separate widget. This means the data is always there and super easy to see. Also highly configurable, you can add up to six additional pieces of information within a single data field. Finally, if needed, the support is second to none. You might as well have the developers cell number.

Windfield for the win(d)! Developer had the app updated before the 40-series devices hit shelves, so when I pre-ordered mine, I figured it'd be fine. I was right. App works exactly like it did before, which is all I ever asked. Data is responsive, accurate, and easy to configure to your liking. Do yourself the favor and upgrade to the upper tiers, the extra functions and features make a great app even better. I honestly don't think I could leave without it.

After using the app for more than ten months and the paid professional version, I can say without the slightest doubt and honestly that it is a horrible program and a loss of time and money. The direction is reversed and the speed is impossible to be correct. Unfortunately, my experience with this application was very unsuccessful ... I do not recommend it at all ... It seems that the application works in one area only, and for this you find some people give it an evaluation that it does not deserve.

Unfortunately I don’t run the weather stations. I do support data from multiple weather providers however so my recommendation is to try a different one for your area. I see you are in a small country the Middle East so I’m not sure of the quality of the weather data in that area. That is why I offer everyone a free one week trial however.
