This looks like a nice app for tides, BUT uses stormglass.io for tide data. I discovered the data is just wrong for New Zealand (and previous comments suggested UK also). Also, never got a response from 'Contact Developer' .

Tide readings were (very) wrong for my area. I checked the location and it was the correct location (Maikai Pier)

Now installed on my EPIX 2 for sailing purposes, with a reference station near the marina (got lucky). Exactly what I was looking for... Straight forward, easy to read, and with the extensive coverage from the folks at Stormglass, this is a gem. Very nice job! Thanks!

What settings do i need to change for this because its shows me tides for Cape D'or, Canada and im in Port Elizabeth, South Africa? I need some help with this, if it cant be used here then it's quite an useless app. Thanks

Worked fine from start after following the install instructions. Many thanks for sharing your app. I had to modify a phone setting in order to always allow the gps for the garmin ´Connect’ app. Before i set it to ‘only when app is activ’ and i think it did not allow the widget to get the gps signal.

Hello. An amazing app, thank you very much for sharing. I have a small problem. I have like an 18 minutes divergence with the hour of local tides. I don't know if that's fixable. I know other AK app that allows to introduce a distance error that allows to correct that. Thank you!

A weak spot for Garmin is not having a native tide app for Epix. This one is quite good. I had the native app on a Fenix 5, then got an Apple Watch that has a data field or complication indicator in addition to detail. I’ve switched back to Garmin with the Epix and AK Tides shows 24-h of high/low data on the Glance and detail if opened. The only thing that would make it better is if there could be a data field to assign to watch faces, even as “simple” as the indicator format Apple uses.

Thanks for great, useful and simple app! And for making it available to all. One wish/request: make a dynamic tidal chart that shows already in the widget glances, instead of the AK tides icon.

Does what you want with minimal fuss. Clearly shows the high and low tide times and range. I'm not sure about how to trigger a new location using GPS once it has done it once (wrongly because I was inside), but putting long and lat in Garmin connect does the job (without using the fix location). John's review would be useful in description - when in a new location I will try: get GPS going with an activity, navigate to Tides, hold up button, refresh location.

Great effort. On my 255 it works. The start button has no effect and I can only scroll forwards in time. Hold “up” to get to settings. In settings in the watch I had to click refresh location. It indicated gps was working but it wasn’t. I had to tell my watch I was about to do an activity and then switch back to tides to refresh location. That worked. The tide location chose a location I don’t want but I suppose it’s ok to be working 15minutes off the tides although the height is off. I think I might be able to tell it a GPS location nearer a place I want and that would work, not sure. I can’t get it to show MLLW, instead it shows +4.11 and -4.5 for instance, when most rides charts would show +7.11 -1.5 for instance. Changing the setting didn’t seem to work. Tide numbers don’t show up on widget without opening app. All in all it works well for a small free project.

Have used it all Spring and Summer for our beach fishing trips. Tide information is always correct. Works great on 5X+.
