The sensor is affected by body heat, so the value is an average between your body temperature and the ambient temperature. If you need to know the ambient temperature, remove the device from your wrist. Wait 10 minutes for the device to show the ambient temperature. Venu SQ 2 is on the list of compatible devices, even though it does not have temperature sensor. Surprisingly it did not work.

Blame Garmin, not us. Yes, they specified it is capable device. https://www8.garmin.com/manuals/webhelp/GUID-C3225F6F-DF15-4404-9E20-05C4FDCD1207/EN-US/GUID-6E06604B-869D-4F27-9BD0-4916C177E215.html manual says all is ok with internal temperature and it should support Tempe. Now they say https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/801643/#specs that temperature will work only with Tempe. You need to buy more capable device. Like Venu or Fenix. Some hardware changes appeared then. Garmin can disable functions on devices they produce, without notices. We will remove temperature support from the Venu Sq 2 Model. Thank you for information.

Refresh rate in this particular widget is 3 times per second. You must know that your device and software on your device developed by Garmin and they decided to provide such inaccurate readings from the device. We, as 3rd party developers, cannot read quicker than Garmin OS provides info. If your device is slow, this is a Garmin issue, not us. Also you must know that your device temperature is displayed, so sensor is inside the case. Imagine, how fast can you increase it's temperature?

Top app! It shows you exact temperature of the environment where the watch is.. All you need to do is take of the watch for minute or two, because you want the exact temperature without any interfering of your body temp.. I saw some negative comments and i would just like to say don't be misleaded by them..

It does what it is supposed to do.... this is for monitoring the temperature of the watch, which is exactly what I want it for. I don't want it to confirm the local air temperature.

You have to read description before you use the app. If you want to see the actual temperature, you have to take watches off and ideally hang them somewhere for 10 min to get the most accurate temperature. It's working fine that way

Vous devez consulter et lire attentivement la description : Le widget affiche la température actuelle en degrés Celsius, Fahrengeit, Kelvin. Appuyez sur le bouton START ou touchez l'écran pour changer d'unité. La police utilisée est de grande taille. Il lit d'abord les données du capteur interne. Le capteur est affecté par la chaleur du corps, la valeur est donc la moyenne entre la température de votre corps et l'environnement. Si vous avez besoin de connaître la température ambiante, retirez l'appareil de votre poignet. Attendez 10 minutes jusqu'à ce que l'appareil indique la température ambiante.

Pueden mejorar esta aplicación tomando encuenta que el color de la piel puede interferir en la lectura del sensor. Uso un Fenix7 y la temperatura es de 28°C y debería ser de 36°C si tuviera la selección de color de piel podría compensar esa diferencia de lectura.

La compensación de temperatura en forma de valores añadidos u otros cambios de lectura nunca se implementará en este widget, ya que es una forma rápida y sucia de corregir las lecturas del sensor. Problem is on Garmin site. Please contact Garmin support and explain the situation. They must conact FQC team and then submit ticket about this issue. Then SW developers should review the code and fix the error. Only after that you will see normal values. We just show you the values firmware provides us via SDK. Regards!

Ask Garmin (!not us, as 3rd party software developers!), why do they invented such sensor and provided such data via SDK. All that stuff stated in description, please read about it. Temperature measurements can be used in different ways. If you do not know the way, then you don't need it. Thousands of people like it and use it. Thanks for review!

Hardware limitation is on Garmin side, say your opinion to garmin.com/ideas/ We are just SW developers, have no idea why Garmin did not select on cheap device the full set of hardware sensors.
