I just need to take basic group photos at the state park's scenic photo stations without having to run from the phone to the group. After tinkering with the app's camera settings and taking some sample photos, it works as advertised on my Vivo 4 and Galaxy S23 Plus. The photo quality is similar to what I take with the default camera app. It would be nice to have more control of the camera settings, but it gets the job done.

What a joke. It will not work with the phones camera apps. You have to buy a crappy garmin camera app that has no features

Well, it does work... somewhat. The companion app (Android, Google Pixel 5) is just a very, very basic camera app. The whole construct might be a lot better if it tapped into the phone's native (or selectable?) camera app and remote control it, instead of accessing the camera directly. Uninstalled right away.

Tried to connect. Don't work. Refer to phone app to run the watch app. Probably for a cost of $2...too complex, for a very simple service.

Geht nur teilweise auf Garmin Venu SQ2... Uhr zeigt nur low res Bilder an. Hi res kommt nur die meldnung das auf dem smartphone gespeichert wurde. Schade dafür Geld ausgegeben zu haben...
