Since two days i have two garmin´s. The VA HR and the VA 3. I did a lot of training with my VA HR to become familar with the amazing set of features coming with your great app. I definetly would pay for a version which supports my new device. Again - you are on the way to provide a leading edge app supporting the sailing community WORLD WIDE!!
Thank you for your kind words, we think it's a winner too.
The way I see it is you have three choices:
1. Stick with your VA-HR
2. Buy an Apple Watch and join our Beta test program or
3. Come up with the price of a small yacht or a nice family car to cover our R&D costs to port the app to the VA-3.
Please can you optimize it for vivoactive 3
The arrival of the VA-3 was perhaps the "straw that broke the camel's back". Having developed for the VA-HR, with its rectangular screen and two-button interface, we ported the app to the Quatix/Fenix 5 with a round face and five buttons. That failed because of a bug in the firmware interpreting the Menu function.
Then they released the VA-3, round face (OK) but now only one button!, with quite a different interface. It all got just too hard.
So, sorry, we don't have any plans to port to that platform.
UI is a bit tough to get up to speed on, but really provides lots of good data once you get used to how to work it.
Great app , great design and function for race and training , but 2 crash app at two training time and lost m'y trace ... . Vivo hr
Took some time to get the app running and had to read the manual a couple times. But, it works perfectly! Took the vivoactive hr out for a sail and it worked perfectly! I know, another person said it's the only reason they've bought the watch, but this app really is a massive contributing factor if you're a sailor that wants to improve.
Tack and Gybe analysis works MOST if the time, but I wasn't racing so it sometimes if I did a slow tack, it wouldn't register.
This app is so good it is the only reason I bought a Vivoactive HR and enjoying it so much !
Great job by the developpers, keep the updates (including the training guide) coming please !
