I really like this watch face it's great. I wanted an analogue face, that was simple and still looked good with the pixelated 735xt screen. Plus with additional moon phase and sun activity, it's a really great watch face.
My only problem is recently it keeps switching back to the Garmin original face - I don't know if this is my watch or the face download, but I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, updating, but doesn't seem to sort the issue - can anyone help with this? I'd really like this watch face back

Try the latest version.

Simply put. The best analog face available. Very clear and creative design. Only issue is flicker in always in mode on Venu.

Thanks Ken. Nice to have such a positive review.
I don't have a Venu so I am not able to test the flicker issue. Send me a video (if you are able to capture the issue - it may not be possible or may introduce other artefacts). Is it there all the time or just when awoken?
All the best

outstanding watch face! thank you for creating it. the moving day-date, the metrics graphs... truly unique and ingenious. if it was possible to move the moon phase dot to the next moon event time...

Clear. Well described. Well featured. I keep coming back to use this face and that speaks volumes. It is not flashy or whizzy to anyone but me - as per the description- the details are hidden in the watch face furniture.
I also like the clarity of the maker in their unwavering vision for the face (and it’s defence in the comments). It is nice to wear a hand crafted watch that meets the goals of the maker not an audience. Thank you for sharing.

Perfect watchface! Thank you very much!

After latest update to version 2.5 supporting "always on display" (AOD) this is the watch face to use on Garmin Venue! Kudos to the developer for the readability of the watch face in the AOD mode as opposed to a number of other watch faces I have tried. Yes, it might affect battery life somewhat but if battery life is the thing I suggest to look at other watches in the Garmin range (i.e. Fenix).

Very nice and original watchface. Good job really. It would be definitely perfect for me if we could choose background colors, I love white background and blue foreground, I see better... Maybe soon?

Very, very good idea and watch face design! The thing lacking on Garmin Venu devices (with AMOLED display) is that "always on" display does not work.

I had a go for AMOLED and it seems OK on the simulator. Let me know if it works OK.

Nice simple very clear watch face with clever progress bar placement. Love the constantly moving date - great design. As the developer says great for not so brilliant advancing years eyesight. Works great on my VA 4 but sadly will not display on my Fenix 5X.

Great watch face, very clear and uncluttered.
Enjoying the date been not covered by the time hands and the cool feature of the sunset timing.
Well done, thank you

Finally a watchface for a smartwatch that is smart: it prevents that the hands are drawn over the date. Also nice ways to show steps, stairs and battery. Also sunset and Moonphase are nicely shown.

This superb uncluttered watch face is only what I use on my F6. Well done and thank You!!

after i am very happy with your Intervall App and Stryd i seen this watch face and again i am very happy because i am wearing varifocals, totally good to read without eyeglasses too, thats fantastic!

Thanks. I originally created it for myself (and my long sight of old age) so I could read the face without glasses on. An absence of clutter on the watch face is really important on low contrast displays. I also wanted to show detail if I put my glasses on and so "hid" the extra information within the normal features of the face. I still get a buzz out of the sunset animation and find it a useful reminder in Winter to get out and do that run before it is too late!

I love this watch face! One question I have is that red dot is sitting near the one o’clock mark. It used to switch between sundown and sun up. What is that about? Thanks!!
7 דצמבר 2019, DrewShardlow
The red dot is indeed an analog graphic indicating the time of sunrise/sunset. For this to work it needs to know your location, typically by doing an activity that uses gps or recording a location. There is also a larger disc that appears during the hour up to sunset and which sets on time. Glad you like it.

Really nice. Easy to read.

Have you given any more thought to at least an option to reduce the thickness of the minute hand? I'm really struggling to distinguish between this and the hour hand without my glasses on.

For some reason, I can't get this to work with my Vivoactive HR. When I select this watchface, my Vivoactive HR will only display the Garmin default digital display. I see that it works on other users VAHRs. Any suggestions on how I could fix this would be appreciated. I like how this watchface sticks to its purpose and avoids clutter. The moving day/date field is just brilliant.
20 נובמבר 2020, DrewShardlow
Have you tried it recently? Seems to work well on the VA HR simulator.

Thanks for this great and helpful Watch Face. But my fenix3 does not show the floor steps and goal even though they are set via Connect IQ under ios 12.2. The same happens with your Clear Watch Face. Thanks for your help.
3 אפריל 2019, DrewShardlow
Unfortunately I had the same issue with my watch faces on my old F3. Although the F3 displays floor count natively it does not expose this through the API to third party developers. I suspect this was an oversight but the F3 firmware is not being further developed so it will never be available. It is stuck on v 1.n My GF with a VA HR was able to see floors as it is on v 2.n. The FR935xt and F5, F5plus are all on v 3.n firmware and are generally more capable. Garmin want to sell their newer devices.

hi nice watchface but would be bit easyer to read on vivoactive hr if the day and the date and the moon item would be a little more loose on vivoactive it looks like it is glued together and that makes it sometimes hard to read so if possible a little bit of space so they are 3 seperate items and I think way better to read guess because it is not a round watch those itms Always look bit different from the round waches that seem to look better with most faces but stil if you can fix this would be nice thanks

Norėčiau suprasti, kokia yra jūsų problema ir bandyti ją ištaisyti, bet norėčiau gauti daugiau informacijos, tačiau aš abejoju, kad tikrai domitės rasti sprendimą.

Hello, I'm the same with my eyesight, terrible without glasses.
So far, this watchface has been the easiest analogue face to read without glasses on my VivoactiveHR.
One improvement to make it even better would be to be able to change the thickness of the hour and minute hands, independently from each other. That would help poor sighted people distinguish between the two.
Thanks for the watchface.
10 מרץ 2019, DrewShardlow
That would be easy to do.
I suppose my only objection would be a design philosophical one. If a device is totally configurable then the developer is merely a vehicle to allow people to design their own watch faces. Whilst this is a laudable objective in its own right it is not very satisfying to a developer who wishes to create and share his own design ideas. I suppose one could stand this argument on its head.
Imagine art installations which were created and modified by the people visiting a gallery, the artist merely providing the media. Might be fun. It has probably already been done.
I will think about it.
