Martin deserves an award !! THIS developer is spot on. I LOVE the large display especially for my line of work in emergency services. Martin's customer service is a rarity. Martin is amazing! My code was quickly sent and then after installing it my Fenix 6s pro was not showing the features I wanted. I did a few screen shots and took a photo of my watch face. I then emailed them to Martin for help and quickly had a response. It was user error as I had an extra space before the code. As it still did not show the features, I once again contacted Martin and quickly had a response to plug into Garmin Express as it was probably a syncing issue. This took care of the problem. :). As an older person, the large font is extremely beneficial. Having a few other items like heart rate, sunrise/sunset and steps makes it perfect for me. I highly recommend this watch face.

You need to disable automatic background colour in the watch face settings (it's according day/night cycle). Afterwards you will have full control over the color customization (it is written there). Next time it would be better to ask instead of giving negative reviews without a reason!

For sunrise/sunset computation your location is needed. You have to fetch the current satellite data via any of the activity apps with GPS (only for the first time or if you move to the other place far away). You can also do it by 'Time Sync' with GPS from the system settings.

Easy to read, great set of options. Dev has been amazingly helpful - recent firmware updates triggered some hard to reproduce issues. Some devices were fine, others like my 945 had disappearing seconds & HR. He spent a lot of time tracking down the problem and finding a solution, great communication throughout. Highly recommend giving this one a look, well worth the $.

Was my all time favorite watch face. Unfortunately something changed a while back that caused the seconds and heart rate to stop displaying after about 60 seconds. Developer responded to my concern basically saying Garmin must have screwed something up again. Not really constructive. Decided to wait until next app update to see if it's corrected, but sadly the problem persists. Looking for alternatives.

I'm very sorry you have this issue - Fenix 5 Plus, Vivoactive 4 and Forerunner 945 devices are affected (it's related to their latest firmware). On my Fenix 6 watch everything works fine, the seconds are permanent, and also the HR is real-time. When I try to simulate the issue you are experiencing in the Garmin software simulator, it also works flawlessly. There is also a Garmin tool ERA to show the recent errors for the applications, but even there the log is empty - i.e. no errors logged for JBlack watch face (any devices). Since I'm not able to reproduce the problem, it is quite difficult to do anything. Furthermore, I know that the same situation is also for some other 1 Hz watch faces from other developers.

Further to my previous 2 reviews: In response to your question, I'm measuring the battery consumption via 1) a battery widget and 2) how long it actually takes for the battery to go from 80% to 20%.This is why I've taken a while to come back to you - I've tested watch faces several times. The JBlack watch face uses (last test) 0.79%/hr taking ~3 days. For the same 80% to 20% battery discharge with a Garmin watch face with seconds and heart rate enabled 0.40%/hr taking ~6 days. I'm not switching watch faces every few hours as you suggested! I suppose I should have tested more prior to purchase!!

First of all, the battery consumption is not linear during the discharge cycle, and it is affected not only by the watch face. But I'm not going longer dispute about it with you, it is your choice which watch face you are using and if you can't accept that more complex software has logically higher requirements for the system, simply don't use it. Secondly, please stop constantly removing your comments with my answers, that is not polite behavior. Thanks!

Have used this watch face for at a couple years. It is a clean watch face, large time digits, and cleanly displays all the data I need. It does seem the sun event times and next sun event time is not working. Other than that is in my favourite watch face
