Name: gimporter widget - Import FIT/GPX from Android
Rating: 4.1 (47 reviews)
Author: Backslashhh

Navigate to any place with your Garmin watch: share it on your Android phone from Google Maps, Organic Maps, a chat message with coordinates or any other app. The place arrives on the watch – press Start, choose navigation and off you go. On watches with maps, the watch calculates the route there.

And send GPX and FIT tracks from your phone to the watch – no cable, no Garmin Connect upload.

gimporter works together with the free Android app gexporter:
• Share a place or coordinates from any app on the phone and navigate to it
• Tap a track in gexporter: it is sent to the watch, press Start to follow it as a course
• Or open gimporter on the watch and choose from the list of tracks on your phone
• See and delete gimporter's tracks and places on the watch from the phone
• GPX tracks are converted to FIT courses on the phone

Good to know:
• gexporter must be running on the phone
• On some watches, switch off Wi-Fi on the watch so it uses the phone connection
• The Garmin Connect app needs internet access on the phone, even though gimporter does not (a Garmin limitation)
• Oregon, Rino, GPSMAP and eTrex devices receive the GPX track unchanged
