I like this idea. Would work well if it self initiated when ko movement it detected for a few mins etc (settable). Maybe even beep to draw attention...just a thought.

This is great. Would love to see it as a watch face standalone or with a companion watch face that tells someone how to access the widget.
5 giugno 2019, HarryOnline
Good point. You can use the Custom Text Face and add a text like 'UP for ICE', https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/f5250a55-59a7-4a97-8eab-2f676026440a

One of the best and most useful widgets for the Garmin watch. Thank you.
29 marzo 2019 | Versione 1.4.7
Perfect! I hope that this widget will never be used on my vivoactive 3, but it gives me a safe feeling, when I'm running without my phone and just the watch.
27 marzo 2019 | Versione 1.4.7
Great, but recently not working - displaying info on my watch (f5s, latest firmware), just an IQ! picture on the screen. Reinstalled, info filled in and still nothing visible on my watch, IQ! only :-) Therefore currently useless.
27 marzo 2019, HarryOnline
Obviously, the app is tested before I release a new version, but I can impossibly test all cases on all devices. So if it is not working as expected, get in touch (See Contact Developer link or message to [email protected]) with details (device, info entered), then it can usually be fixed.

I`m having trouble editing data fields on my Garmin 735XT, After install, the apps works fine but once I edit data fields (name, labels, phone) the APP Crash, and all I can see is the IQ logo with an exclamation mark. Any ideia how to fix this? I`ve already tried to reinstall it too many times. Garmin Forerunner 725XT 9.40 and Emergency Info 1.4.3. Tried to edit fields with Garmin Express and Connect for iOS. Thanks!
5 gennaio 2019, HarryOnline
Under App Info, there is a link to contact the developer. If the app has crashed (IQ logo with exclamation mark), there should be a file '/GARMIN/APPS/LOGS/CIQ_LOG.TXT' on the watch, please share that file, as well as more details, e.g. the information that you entered and possibly the phone type if it may be related to Connect Mobile.

While it may never be used, it's nice to know I'm able to put emergency contact information into my watch.
2 dicembre 2018 | Versione 1.4.1-upd8
Would be great if it could be permanently displayed. How will paramedic know to swipe to find it?
3 dicembre 2018, HarryOnline
I fully agree, but this is what is possible as a custom widget.
- A widget always returns to the watch screen after one or two minutes
- Accessing a widget is different for different devices. It would indeed be more useful if there was a standard way to access such information, so paramedics would know how to find it, but that is something to be taken up by Garmin and other manufactureres, not possible for a custom widget.

I love this app, however formatting is off for fenix 5s plus and fenix 5 plus. I also have fenix 5x and it works great. Hopefully someone else experienced this and its not just me. Please fix and update asap!!

This is not so much a review, but a question. I'm looking for an app that automatically displays your contact information during a run if you stop for a certain preset period of time, or until you acknowledge an alert or something. That way, if you are hurt or injured during a run, the info will automatically be on your watch screen. Can this app do this?
4 maggio 2018, HarryOnline
No, this widget has to be activated manually. I doubt it is even possible for a Connect IQ app to run in the background, and show when you stop for a preset of time, probably Garmin has to build in some kind of trigger for this. You may post your suggestion in this forum, perhaps other developers have a good idea: https://forums.garmin.com/forum/developers/connect-iq/connect-iq-app-ideas

As a person with epilepsy I love this app. I can't give it 5 stars yet because it is a little restrictive. I found that a few of the fields cut off some of the important text areas where I wish they scrolled like the "other info" field. Maybe as a note to the developer add an option for the user to designate the field as a scrolling field. I understand for the app's sake that these must be limited so maybe give x amount to put in there so the overall field stays compact. Thank you for giving me that much more peace of mind when I go out though!!! I do wear my medical dogtag but now I have days where I feel comfy leaving it hanging on my bathroom mirror because that same info is right on my wrist.

Thanks for your feedback! I'd like to look into this case. The fields are designed to fit international telephone numbers, but for a specific use case or device, it may not fit. Can you share the info you use, and the device type? You can use the Contact Developer link on the App Info tab.

How do you enter data ?
28 gennaio 2018, HarryOnline
As described in the App Info tab, in the settings from the Connect Mobile app, Garmin Express or using the menu button on the watch.
23 dicembre 2017 | Versione 1.4.1-upd
Got all my information entered just fine. Great idea to have just in case.
4 dicembre 2017 | Versione 1.4.1-upd
This is a very useful, simple app for holding & displaying emergency information (or any other short bits of info). It would get 5 stars if the way of entering the data on Garmin Express was simpler. Surely Heading 1 : Data 1, Heading 2 : Data 2 etc would be more intuitive than entering all the data fields and then rewording the headings?
5 dicembre 2017, HarryOnline
Good point. The reason, of course, is that rewording the labels was only built in later, but it makes good sense to use more generic words. In the next version.

Hi great widget but is there a way of adding more than 1 emergency contact... thx
30 novembre 2017, HarryOnline
The space on the screen is limited, but you could use any of the other fields (e.g., Date of Birth, Phone) for another Emergency contact. In the settings, you can not only change the information, but also the labels, so you can customise it as you want.

Works well on my FR235. Would it be an idea to call the headings Line 1-5 instead of Phone Emergency etc. ? That would keep it nicely flexible. For example I always switch phone and emergency because the mobile number is too long to display.
20 novembre 2017, HarryOnline
If you scroll down in the settings, you can change the headings yourself.
6 novembre 2017 | Versione 1.4.1-upd
Useful (also for/as "Owner Contact Info" if unit is lost). I even use the field labels for info (content is usually pretty obvious so the labels are not fully necessary). Suggestion: add one extra page (swipe down..?) with one free form text field.
7 novembre 2017, HarryOnline
Good suggestion, will look into what is possible. Not every watch can swipe, and swiping is also used to switch between widgets, but worth exploring.

Here's something useful! Works perfectly on my Fenix 5X!
16 settembre 2017 | Versione 1.4.0
Does not display on the Edge 820 device... it'll be listed in Garmin Connect along with any other apps/widgets you've downloaded, and you'll be able to go into the app settings from Connect to update your own info, but alas, it doesn't display on the device. Even if it did, there's no obvious "Emergency crew look here" type of button in the Edge 820 that would tell first responders they can get vital medical info and contact numbers for the injured.
17 settembre 2017, HarryOnline
You are right that Garmin has made it very hard to find a widget on the Edge devices, that's a problem for all widgets.
You can access widgets from the home screen, swipe down (this shows some settings menu), then swipe left or right to see the installed widgets. Emergency Info should be one of them, if you have more widgets installed, you may have to swipe a few times left or right.

Great. List my allergies and emergency contact. Thanks
30 giugno 2017 | Versione 1.3.5
Great app. However on Fenix 5 beta firmware 4.14 the watch crashes on your app.
13 luglio 2017, HarryOnline
Sorry for the late reply, I do not get a notification when a new review appears. In case of any issue, better contact me using the Contact Developer link.
I could not reproduce the crash, as I don't have a Fenix 5 and it works on all devices I can test. Can you send me the file GARMIN/APPS/LOG/CIQ_LOG.TXT on the device?
27 maggio 2017 | Versione 1.3.5
Worked really well for a little while & then after connecting to my computer, all my data went blank. Even updating it and saving it in Garmin Express each time does not work.
