Total Ascent

Displays the total ascent, as provided by the watch. This is useful for watches which lack a barometer and don't expose this data through native data fields.</p><p></p><p>Total ascent is displayed in metres or feet, depending on the altitude units in your device settings.</p><p>━━━━━━━━━━━━</p><p></p><p>NOTE on accuracy: Total ascent is provided by the watch (not calculated by the app). If the watch does not have a barometric altimeter (e.g. most Forerunners), then elevation data comes from GPS data, which may not be totally accurate. (This is why Garmin Connect automatically corrects elevation data for watches without a barometric altimeter).</p>
