I agree with the other review for the Venu SQ, that the app downloads very quickly, but all it says is "connecting". I checked to see if the Tempe was paired and connected, and it was.
23 gennaio 2021, jim_m_58
One thing about the tempe is is can take up to a minutes to connect, and on a venu sq, widgets time out in less than a minute, So you may have to do something like tap the screen every 20 seconds to keep the widget from timing out.

Doesn’t seem to be working in venu sq, downloaded pretty quick which is good, but all it seems to say is connecting.
2 gennaio 2021, jim_m_58
The Venu Sq doesn't have an internal temperature sensor (it's related to not having a baro altimeter) so all it can show is a tempe if you have one paired and connected.

Please use "contact Developer" to let me know what's not working, as leaving a 1 star review with no words is useless to both me and other users.

This should be a standard feature, the fact that the internal sensor was just gone once connected a Tempe really bugged me! Great work! I am just not sure how this will effect battery life but will see...
3 settembre 2020, jim_m_58
No impact on the battery life, as it's a widget and only runs for a short time.
I in fact wrote it when native temperature widget started not showing the internal temperature if a tempe was paired.

Buena tarde, tengo un Fenix 6x Pro y me sale Tempe None Paired. No veo cómo pueda configurar esto y saber mi temperatura corporal.
Tampoco cómo escoger Fahrenheit o Centígrados, gracias y estaré pendiente.
18 agosto 2020, jim_m_58
The Tempe is an external sensor, and if you don't have one or it's not paired, this is what you'll see.
The internal temperature is the temperature sensor inside the watch. It's internal to the watch, and not body temperature as it's impacted by the ambient air.
On the watch, to to settings-system-units and set temperature units to either C or F
7 luglio 2020 | Versione 0.23
Approach S62 shows "None Paired" ? S62 is on the support list.
8 luglio 2020, jim_m_58
Pairing refers to a paired Tempe Sensor. Do you have one?
The internal temperature is not available on the s62, so a tempe is the only option.

fenix3 HR - I only get temperature from the Tempe-sensor, no Internal reading showing on the screen. (Temps v. 0.23)
26 giugno 2020, jim_m_58
The f3 doesn't support CIQ reading the internal temperature. Internal temp is only available on newer devices.

Internal temperature is not available on Forerunner 245. Can you implement an option to disable the internal temperature? Tempe works fine.
11 giugno 2020, jim_m_58
I'll add it to my list of things to look into

I have a Tactix Delta and it works fine apart from the fact it won’t vibrate when receiving the Tempe reading as it did on the tactix Charlie.
27 maggio 2020, jim_m_58
You must be thinking of a different widget as this one never vibrates. Could it be the FW is doing a vibrate when it connects to the tempe?

Ok, very very Ok.

Great app showing the info needed. Given experience with similar temperature widgets and in particular connectivity, this one is perfect. Excellent work thank you.

I have a question: is the temperature reading for my skin, or for the ambient air (or water, when I'm swimming)? I have a Forerunner 735XT. Thank you.
12 maggio 2020, jim_m_58
It's not really your skin or ambient. It's the temperature inside the watch that can be impacted by both body temp as well as ambient. The Tempe will be ambient if you keep it shaded and out of direct sunlight.

It doesnt work in Forerunner 235, i dont know why, please help me!!
3 maggio 2020, jim_m_58
The 235 doesn't have an internal temperature sensor, so for this to work, you need to have a Tempe sensor.

No salecen grados centigrados

C or F is based on a standard setting on your watch.
Under Settings/System/Units, set Temperatature Units to C or F.

Installed on my Vivoactive HR and doesn't work.

Please use "contact developer" (on the right) for this, as "it doesn't work" tells me nothing.

does low and high show data from tempe when it is connected or from internal sensor? native garmin widget can do that.
17 gennaio 2020, jim_m_58
The 24 low and high from the Tempe is not available in Connect IQ but is available to native widgets.
21 dicembre 2019 | Versione 0.21.6
This app works as expected and way faster than the original temperature widget. Low-high for tempe is missing, and it would certainly get 5* if a plot could both graphs internal+tempe. Good job!
22 dicembre 2019, jim_m_58
In CIQ, the 24h high/low for the tempe isn't available, and to do direct ANT to get it, it would conflict with other apps that use it as a native sensor.
As far as graphing the tempe, there are a couple issues, in that it would require a background process, which can run at most 30 seconds at a time, where it can take a minute or so for the tempe to connect. Even without that, it would have an impact on the battery - connecting to the sensor on a regular basis.

So it works very well... but I have a few questions and issues with it (I have a Forerunner 945) :
Issue: when I have a Tempe in range, and hit this widget, the battery life of the watch goes to crap. *even when I go away from the widget* I've noticed when backpacking when I have a Tempe and go to bed, my battery life is fine. But if I check the widget once , then the battery will drain the rest of the night. its like it keeps polling the Tempe. I've tested a few things to see if they were causing the drain (Inreach ANT+ connection, BT to phone, etc...) and determined the Tempe was the cause.
Q: the temperature plot it shows displays the internal temp, but wont show the Tempe temp... since it seems like it stays connected to the Tempe... it seems like it would generate a plot, but I dont see anything.

Очень полезное приложение для тех, у кого есть garmin tempe.
Работает отлично на garmin fenix 5X plus.

Great widget Jim! Keep up the good work

Nešla by kromě grafu nejnižší a nejvyšší teploty interního teploměru zobrazit i min. a max. teplota senzoru tempe, např. za poslední týden, měsíc, rok?
13 dicembre 2018, jim_m_58
Only the current temperature for the Tempe is displayed. There is no history available for the Tempe.
4 dicembre 2018 | Versione 0.18
Regarding the TEMPE device - The watch only connects when MEASURING AN ACTIVITY so the app will not show anything. || What to say? it shows the watch's temperature (approx yours) as well as that from the Tempe device (if you have one) Recommended
4 dicembre 2018, jim_m_58
Which device? The Tempe can take up to a minute to connect, and on some watches, the widget can time out before then if you don't interact with the widget.
28 novembre 2018 | Versione 0.18
Works perfectly on Fenix 5 with Tempe, a real working variant to the crappy garmin temp widget! Thank you!
30 ottobre 2018 | Versione 0.18
Just what I was looking for. I have just 1 question: WHAT IS THE 0.10 MEAN IN THE Temps 0.10???
31 ottobre 2018, jim_m_58
That's the version number of the app.
