Heart rate readings disappeared when I installed it my Forerunner 235. Heart rate was available in the main menu HR widget but not inside an activity. This problem disappeared when I removed the data field.
24 Juli 2016 | Versi 1.7
Shows as installed on the Forerunner 735xt in the Garmin Connect app but can't see it anywhere on the device. FAIL!

Already the second update of the data field without anything (visibly) changed. I requested to adapt the background color to the color set by the system (as ALL other data fields do). But it is still hardcoded to white. And to see the meaning of the diagram either y-axis or min/max lines with value are required.

This does what it says - chart your heart rate over time. As others mentioned, it would be useful if it had range on the chart and if it had an indication of zones.
For those trying it on the Vivoactive - it does work. This is a data field, so it doesn't show by itself. If you start an activity (for example biking) and press the menu you can change data screens. One of the options after download is selectIQ, which holds the custom fields.

Please add the option to save and sync the data with the Garmin Connect app.

Tem muito que melhorar, diminuir a largura das barras do gráfico e colocar o valor do batimento cardíaco, uma opção melhor é o Heart rate chart.

This would be 5 star if you could get it to display color coded ranges based on an individual users set HR zones!! Let's fix this my brotha!!!
01 April 2015 | Versi 1.1
A great start but reference numbers (low, high, current HR) would make this a 5 star data field.
29 Maret 2015 | Versi 1.1
unusable as it is at the moment. no reference lines, looks a bit like tetris.
27 Maret 2015 | Versi 1.1
Shows as installed but does not activate on vivoactive
25 Maret 2015 | Versi 1.1
can not use or push too the vivoactive

These are very poor compared to the graphical data fields available on the Fenix 2... The Fenix 2 ones look nicer, show current value, have a changing X-axis and don't have the limitation of 2 per activity profile. Also, no cadence field available. This is a big step backwards.

I would like to see a wider Y axis spread - like shown in the app's icon. Right now HR fluctuations are barely visible, e.g. 130 bpm looks about the same as 140 bpm - not really usable.
The Y axis 'window' should also be limited to realistic HR levels (maybe even dynamically, based on the current workout range), rather than what now appears to be the full range of 0 to 210 bpm.
Showing the HR number would be nice - my workaround for now is to use a 2 field display: this app in bottom field. HR number in top field.

There is no scale on either axis.
It would be good to add:
1. HR Zone bands/lanes
2. Actual HR number; actual zone number (e.g. 3.4) on the left, say
3. an indication of the time scale on the x-axis, configurable display period, e.g. 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes.
