This is a simple app for Garmin watches that provides useful information for sailboats that do not have wind instruments.</p><p>Set wind direction and read close-hauled direction, course over ground and speed.</p><p>Observe wind turns and speed-changes, and see the consequences and make good decisions.</p><p></p><p>The direction where the wind comes from is allways facing up on the clock, and the top number is the direction against the wind-eye. The blue "N" shows the direction to north. The yellow dot, and gray boat show your course over ground direction.</p>

Sverre, This app is amazing! It’s the easiest to use for training, racing and general sailing. However like everything a couple additional tweaks would make this the only app with everything you need! 1) could you create it as an activity so that it can track your movement, speed etc? This is great for after sailing review etc. Most sailing apps have that so hoping it’s something you could implement? 2) if you could add a race timer to one screen that would be great as well. 3) it would also be great to add 2 more lines in the downwind position showing the typical broad reach angles? 4) if there was anyway to make the port closehauled and stbd closehauled setting faster like maybe the “start” and “back” button that would be much easier in a race of resetting the wind angle. That would mean you would add an exit button in the menu to exit the app 5) VMG....showing this above the speed plot would be nice, really nice! Although this is 5 suggestions all of which would be amazing! I am loving this app and only want to see it have a few more features I need to use the other apps for. The list is also in order of importance to me. I am not a programmer but have an electrical engineering back ground so if you wanted some help I would be happy to try and figure it out!
