If you want the widget, go to https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/e7b70c06-9d4c-4efd-865b-2b8bdad9f17c</p><p></p><p>This watch face displays your parkrun id, barcode, name and emergency contact details (ICE) to allow for scanning after a parkrun. The time is shown as a background in a selectable colour. This is ideal to set as your watch face for the duration of parkrun so you do not need to fiddle about with widgets after your run, or if you have a watch like the forerunner 45 which does not support widgets. If you prefer to use a QR code if you feel the bar code is too small, you probably want the widget version.</p>
Change log:</p><p></p><p>1.4 - Prevent crash 10 seconds after switching to the watch face which results in reverting to a standard Garmin watch face.</p><p></p><p>1.3 - Add support for 255, 955 and Swim 2.</p><p></p><p>1.2 - Improve parkrun id validation.</p><p></p><p>1.1 - Increase the barcode size where possible. I installed this watch face on my Forerunner 255. I see a better use case for the watch face than for the widget, because the watch face takes as few or less button pushes as the widget, is there semi-permanently and is readily available when I end or pause the run, + it is not in the way during the 10.000 times I scroll through the widgets. So a shoutout to the developer, thank you for making both versions!

I've got a Forerunner 45 and I'm confused. If you want to see the Parkrun info including the barcode then you can't read the time unless you switch the watchface? That's not easy and it seems very cumbersome.

The time is shown below the parkrun info. You can make it clearer by changing the colour in the app settings. But yes, it is partly obscured. At least you can display your barcode though. No other app types are supported on the Forerunner 45 so not many options are available.

Great idea. But always slow to scan on Forerunner 45. Would make more sense for barcode to be across widest part of the screen so it can be as big as possible.

Weird bug, after clicking apply, it switches to the default Garmin watch face. Memory issue? Device: Forerunner 245M Option to switch off time in the background or to set the color to black will be nice.

Initially I downloaded the very similar looking app that is the widget. I couldn't get it to work on my garmin 235 until I realised what I had done. Replaced that app with the watchface version. Before a parkrun it takes just a few seconds to swap my usual clock with hands for the barcode. The scanner looked a bit puzzled when I thrust the watch at him but it scanned easily enough. Think this is a very clever idea, many thanks.
