Works as described, I can't fault it. Feel safer in the Fells in bad weather

Brilliant widget and developer. I've been using the widget on previous watches but when I got the Epix2 I reached out to the developer to ask if it could be updated as the Epix2 wasn't supported. Within a day they had reached out on email and shortly afterwards the widget was updated, uploaded and I had it installed on the Epix2. Thank you.

Unfortunately this barely works. It’s a nice idea to have What3Words on your wrist, but in practicality, a Garmin device isn’t an ideal platform. On my Apple Watch, the W3W app works instantly, is pretty accurate and I use it quite a bit. But there it’s backed up by every efficient integration with the insane power of my iPhone. Garmin watches don’t have that. Would be amazing if one day W3W could allow download of their data (or even just sections of it for, say, the surrounding area). That would make this app perfect, no longer have to stutter away trying to connect to the internet etc.

1 star is a bit harsh. As you say, it's restricted by what Garmin and w3w allow you to do, will give you the british nation grid location and the w3w when you do get internet via the phone. It can be handy to avoid getting your phone out of your pocket if you want to give someone your location. It does exactly what it says in the tin, so your review is a little unfair.

This app has a simple and easy to read interface but doesn't give accurate location words. It gives a different set of three words for the exact same location every time it is activated and never once were of a the same three words as produced by the actual app on my phone. The locations ranged between 30-130 yards away for the ones that I checked. It therefore fails in its fundamental task. The function of the app deserves a one star but I have given a two star rating to reflect the appearance. If the location's three words can be accurately shown, I will gladly reinstall it.

There is not much the app can do about the accuracy of the watch. Put you watch on a table, record an activity for 5 minutes and look at the track. You'll see it dances about all over the place rather than give a single location. There is nothing in the app I can do to change this.

Great app works brilliantly. thanks. -Is it possible to keep GPS active so that refreshing location is faster. -Also to include the w3w data offline. - have an option to view standard god coordinates Thanks

These are interesting ideas. It is not possible to have the w3w data offline otherwise I'd have done this. This data is not available from w3w. The other two are possible so I'll look at them. The API has access limits unless you want to pay so I would have to limit the refresh frequency.

Works perfectly!! Link your watch to a phone with a data plan, check your watch has a good GPS fix & you'll quickly get your 3Words location on your watch without having to get your phone out! Cheers Gasteropod!

Doesn't work. Always says 'no location' even though the watch is connected to the phone and there IS a connection to the Internet, both through WiFi and 4G

After a while it responded with the OS map coordinates but no "3 words", but then said "No internet connection". I moved indoors & my Fenix6 picked up my router signal and then displayed the 3 words, which is utterly pointless, little chance of picking up internet once in the great outdoors.
