This widget aims to give you an idea of your current height above a known starting point. It’s based on my Simply Altitude widget (https://apps.garmin.com/en-US/apps/a62e9023-0f2e-42c1-80e2-0cb12df2b6d1) but allows you to zero the displayed value to give a height Above Ground Level.

In Altitude Mode the widget works in the same way as Simply Altitude. It just reads and displays the device's current altimeter value.

It does not work to reset it to 0 metres.. all what I can do is to change from ft to metres like in your other app. I wish an option to set the hight to 0 - like to calibrate it. This would be amazing for urban climbing. I have Venu 2.

I'm sorry the widget doesn't seem to work for you. In the Garmin simulator you press and hold the bottom right button to set 0, that should work on the real device too. It's always better to contact the developer directly rather than leaving a poor review, then we can work together to resolve the issue.

My reading is 3389ft however checking my altitude from several other sources shows I am at 1028ft

Thanks for your review. It's a shame but the widget only shows what the watch sensor provides. If your watch altimeter is faulty, or not calibrated, you'll see an inaccurate reading. Try checking it against an elevation data field added to an activity. If it's different please let me know.
