Live Weather Forecast on your data screens! Forecastr provides a 3 hour forecast based on your location right on your data screen alongside your other fields. No need to look at your phone or click thru to the built in weather app. The forecast will run at the start of each of your rides. You'll get 3 icons indicating the weather at each hour. As your ride goes on, the icons will gradually disappear. If you are a subscriber to my WindField app, then simply plug your email address into the settings and you'll get continuous updates every 15 minutes.

Have been using this data field on my edge for some time. Since this week I also own a Gpsmap, I find out that Forecastr is not compatible with the Gpsmap. I ask Scott if it is possible to make Forecastr also compatible with the Gpsmap. I think Scott got off his bike right away to make this happen..... Big thumbs up, to Scott, if I could give 10 stars I would.

I have the Garmin 1030 plus, and it works very well on it. I also have the developers wind app. This allows updates every 15 minutes, options for 3 settings (I have temp, feels like, and chance of rain). This is also available on his wind app, but I like having them on separate screens (wind direction is on screen one—high importance to me, forecastr is on screen 2). I have contacted the developer several times and he is always quick to respond. The last time was to ask him to make an option to enlarge the data (temp and chance of rain) which he quickly did. When only 2 numbers are shown I do okay, but I have more difficulty when all 3 are shown. The data (numbers) are stacked too close together for me. Though, I should mention my eyes aren’t the best and I am 60 years old. But I do spend a lot of time on my bike (I average 55 miles a day) and really appreciate having these apps available on my screen.

This is exactly what I was looking for. Searching several Garmin screens deeps to see upcoming weather is one thing, but having it presented to you at a glance is awesome. Bonus is that because it includes time, and several other data options, I can free other databoxes for more info!
