I have a premium account on Locus and also purchase the connect IQ app. I knew that the Map on the screen are no longer supported (unless you have no data connection on your phone). It turns out that this is quite annoying as I often want to use the live tracking feature while hiking (ie let people know where I am) hence need data connection on the phone, which render this app useless. When I tested it, the app crashed a few time during "activity" on my Venu 2 which meant that I lost the complete hike tracking mid hike... Sadly, I can't recommend this app and no longer trust it (don't want to lose my track mid course). I will keep using the rather excellent DWMAP app instead (which can show map to the watch while still having a data connection on the phone)!!!

Awesome application! Thank you! We have maps and turn by turn guidance offline! After downloading the map offline on the smartphone, you need internet connection only to set the destination and start the navigation on the phone. The route already saved in the application on the phone doesn`t need internet connection and the map is displayed on the watch. You will need only the Bluetooth connection to the smartwatch to navigate through the destination. Downloading the BRoute on the phone allows you to be completely independent from internet connection. Works fine on Fenix 6 solar. Unfortunately, sometimes (not very often) there are interruptions during activity (IQ).

On my FR255 the app regularly shows the IQ logo at start. Retrying will sometimes solve this. However sending gpx files will crash the watch into restarting, this was the main functionality i was looking for :(

Hi, FR255 doesn't support importing track to internal storage as mentioned in compatibility table in the manual. Will check why you didn't get proper message about this in the app though. If you still struggling even with occasional IQ logo on the start of the app, please write me on [email protected] .

App crashes on Garmin S62 when changing the settings on the watch. Navigation on the app not always logical (doesn't calculate the fastest/shortest route in a city - but takes unlogical detour).

On the Instinct - while I'm very thankful for adding support - I get the "IQ" screen after a few seconds of loading the app for the third time, and only reinstalling helped. My watch has plenty of free storage, so that's not the problem. I would happily help solving the issue or provide further information, and I will correct the rating after the fix.

Hi Dániel, thanks for the feedback. Yes, as it showed, compatibility with Instinct2 is now broken and I am analysing the problem. Garmin dev simulator once again doesn't reflect behaviour of real device. :( If you are willing to help with the fix, could you please send me mail to [email protected] ? Obwohl eines der Main-Features, die Anzeige der Karte aktuell nicht funktioniert ist die App noch immer von großem Nutzen. Die Navigation funktioniert weiterhin und auch die Einbindung der Aktivitäten (z.B. Wandern) funktioniert reibungslos. Den Stern Abzug gibt es nicht für das Fehlen der Karte selbst, sondern erstens für die mangelnde Kommunikation zu Beginn (habe alles bezahlt und erst später gelesen, dass es nicht funktioniert) und die lange Dauer des Ausfalls.

I can confirm Peter Lanner's findings: can receive maps from Locus Pro when internet connectivity disabled (disable mobile data and WiFi, but obviously NOT Bluetooth) Tried on Fénix 6 Pro with firmware 20.30 and Huawei P30 Lite. Whilst being offline is far from ideal, it's a viable option at a pinch.

Die Map Ansicht funktioniert schon lange nicht mehr. Man soll mit der Garmin Connect App auf Version 4.39 umsteigen, für mich keine Option. Wann wird das denn mal behoben? Ich habe mir die Android App Locus map Pro extra deswegen gekauft!

Hi, unfortunately we are unable to tell currently. Our previous attempts to solve the issue failed because of ongoing "issue" on Garmin side (which broke previous implementation) and other limitations of Garmin IQ platform. We want to make new attempt soon, but can't give any promises as the platform capabilities are unpredictable... Thanks for understanding.

Happy user until the maps on the watch feature stopped working, long long time ago. Since then all I could see was the dev blaming Garmin but keeping a misleading advertising. So be aware of this commercial practice. The option of downgrading is ridiculous, is like buying a car and being asked to go back to ride a horse, without compensation of course.
