This app displays the average running power for the current lap.

For years, elite cyclists have used power data as the most reliable way to measure the actual exercise loads of their rides. Now runners can train with power, too. Developed by Garmin Labs, the Running Power apps let you tap into metrics collected by your compatible Garmin devices to calculate and show your running power in real time — as well as after your run.

Version 1.8.2
I just bought a Garmin running dynamics pod. I'm very disappointed that my Garmin power readings don't show in the results in the app or on the Connect website. I can see the lap power value on the data screen while I run, although it is in very small sized figures. It's no real use though, if I have no record of it on Connect. I can't see whether I am improving or not or analyse the power readings lap by lap. All the other running dynamics values are shown in the laps, and in graphic form. Why not Garmin Power? I do have a Stryd pod as well. That shows up in Garmin Connect in laps and in graphic form. Unfortunately, the Stryd also comes with lots of other duplicated data that I already have on the Garmin pod or from an HRM-Run strap. The Stryd does however lack Ground Contact Balance, which is one of the most interesting metrics for me. I also wanted to compare the Garmin Power readings with my Stryd readings to see which is best. I can't understand why there is no record of Garmin Power kept on the Connect app or website.

What a disappointment, as the other reviewers said (more than a year ago!!!) The lap power does not work with the laps of a structured workout. Totally useless.

Works well for me. I put on my screen focussed on Laps and watch the Lap Power. It essentially gives me something like Grade Adjusted Pace. More useful to me than the current Run Power that tends to jump around, same as my power meter on my bike.

As per the other reviews, lap power works fine when auto-laps are active or by pressing the lap button if in the manual lap setting. However, when you use a structured workout (e.g. using the Training Peaks app), disable auto-laps (to allow laps to be dictated by the structured workout schedule) the display shows average power for the entire run, which is far from ideal.
