It works but it would seem sensible to have alarms (AIS, anchor drag etc) which come up on the plotter fed through to the watch. As a skipper with someone else on the helm, this is vital information

Works great with GPSMap 923. You have to enable connect IQ on the Plotter first.

Version 2.1.2
Works exceptionally well. Only certain families of Garmin plotters are compatible with the App and watch. One is the 8 series GPSMap. For fishing, having boat speed, water temp and direction in large digits on the watch showing all the time is excellent. Great App. Seamless connection. Auto conne tion after initial setup.

Version 2.1.1
Terrible doesn’t work. this requires connecting to other marine devices. Can’t be used separately for counting LOG and navigation. I’m disappointed - boat app was ok in fenix 6. In fenix 7 Solar i have nothing instead :)

Would love to rate it, but I can’t get it to work. I’ve contacted the app. creator and Garmin with no reply. “Enable boat data is iq app”…..what ever that means….I’m thinking it sucks.

Version 2.0.2
Disappointing App. Can not use the data fields in other sailing apps. Can not record the data of my trip. Absolutely worthless. When i sit on my boat the watch shows me just the data, which i see anyways on my display. I use Garmin wired sail pack with gnx 20 & gnx wind. Connection to the system works fast and well. Are there any plans for upgrade to make the data available for recording and/or use of data in other sailing apps? i mean, what is the difference between a boat sensor and a bike sensor or a heart rate monitor?

completely disappointed, even the nautical speed through the water is not working properly, giving approximate speed

Works like a charm. Need to enable it in your Garmin display/plotter too, eg. Gnx wind.

Same as everyone else, can not connect to my plotter. says enable through IQ connect. Their is no enable button. Purchased this watch and all new Garmin gpsmap for connectivity and it’s a let down, come on Garmin where’s the fix. Unhappy.

Same issues mentioned above. Can't connect it. Telling me to enable through IQ app. There is no "enable" that I can see.

Purchased the watch for this app and can’t get it working. Says “enable boat data in connect IQ Apps” what ever that means. Played around for hours.

Useless information about compatible devices - only watches are shown, not which plotters that are compatible.

Last year worked like a charm. Now I have to paired every day, and often the quatix doesn't find the wearable. What's happened?

Version 2.0.1
Connected Quatix 5 with GPSMAP 722XS. Only displays depth and water temperature on Quatix. These parameters are very useful and connection works well. Dissapointed about other parameters ☹️ Any ideas?

Why isn’t this app compatible with Descent MK1? How many watches does a boater/diver need?

Version 1.9
Without access to the Gnt10 then this ap is useless. In fact the quatix 5 itself is therefure quite limited. I bought a gnt10 thinking I could get nmea2000 data ok my watch. I know there a gnt10 beta ap but temp and depth data don't work. This issye has been mentioned do many times here yet Garmin don't even bother responding. Disappointed.

Version 1.8
I tested this with my Quatix 5 and GPSMAP 7612xsv over the weekend and the functionality worked. I had to make a configuration in the GPSMAP setting to allow 'wearables' to be paired. After I did this the watched paired immediately and paired every time I was within 20 meters so that was nice. The data fields that I was able to display on the watch however were only the depth and water temperature. No other fields were displaying. This is a great feature though as I like to fish from the front of the boat and can now easily see the depth and water temp, which was the reason I wanted the app in the first place. Any thoughts on why the other fields would not be displaying on the watch??
