A useless app - it just copies speed https://prnt.sc/1xbh0qr

Hello Eevgenly. The VO2 calculation is directly correlated to the runner's speed and calculated in real time so, it's normal that both graphs seems similar. But, the VO2 max data you may consider and take into consideration are the VO2 calculated for the whole session and the smoothed VO2, calculated all over your sessions. They are saved into the FIT file in the summary area of the session.

Awesome app. Wish the complete version was available for Forerunner 55. Very useful for Vo2max obsessed like me. Thank you.

Very useful, not so much during the session but extremely important when analyzing session on Garmin Connect.

Great data field, during running everything ok, but why in Garmin Connect after run I don't see data (VO2 Max Session 0 and Real VO2 Max also 0)?

I installed it on my Vivoactive HR since a while and I never had it working. I can't even find it on the watch even though Garmin express tells me it's installed. Can anyone give me some tips? Is there anything I should do to set it up? thanks

How to install: This is a data field not an application and needs to be added to a single data screen within a sport activity. 1- go to settings, apps, sport activity, data screen, screen 1 or 2 or X 2- set layout to 1 field 3- set field 1 to ConnectIQ Fields, JMGDTFRunningVO2

I like it. Simple on my watch, but gives some nice details in the Garmin app.

Can you pls change the font size to utilize the available screen estate ... barely readable in the current format. PLS make it a real data field which scales the display to the availailable screen size. TX

I like this datafield. It is simple and gives me a V02Max reading immediately (despite having had the watch for only a few days). Garmin by contrast needed 2 weeks to get the V02max reading back to roughly the right figure. But the problem I have is a lack of information about how this app is calculating V02max. I understand garmin use FirstBeat data. But is the algo in this app the same, better or worse? no idea. Today Garmin suggests V02max of 60 for me and this app suggested 66 in my run yesterday.
