The Readable Race & Training Pacer data field will show the number of seconds you are ahead or behind a specified target pace or race goal. Somewhat like Garmin RacePro and Virtual Pacer, but much more advanced, versatile, easy to read, and accurate.</p><p></p><p>Maximum readability is achieved by using the largest possible custom font that can fit the data field! So, if you have a hard time reading small numbers, like me at the end of a hard race, and prefer not to run with classes, this is the Pacer App for you!</p>

very useful app for me as the default visuals of the Garmin training plan are too small for me without glasses. Also the developper is very responsive regarding questions on the syntax. (any segment without target must be followed by “,” even the last one / cooldown). Thank you HrMortensen and best regards, Yannick from Normandy

The best pacer for Garmin watches. Much more useful than Garmin Pace Pro. Very flexible. Font large so that even those wearing glasses can see the information. I am impressed how useful this field is. The only request I have is if the developer could create a web page so that we can check if we have written down the training or race plan correctly, so that we don't realise we have a mistake in the entry until we want to start.

Venu: Great tool! Every string works fine except for the instruction 5:40 which gives “invalid string“. Tried other values as well but to no avail.

Absolutely amazing app. So simple to use yet very configurable. This app has really helped me achieve a faster time in races by helping me pace better. I can't wear glasses when I run as I sweat too much but then my eyesight without them is so poor but this app makes it easy to read at a glance even without them. I Recommend this app.

This is my favourite pacer data field because it is very helpful for runners who are far sighted and use reading glasses. Thank you to the developer for a well thought out app.

Probably the best, most flexible and accurate pacer in the Connect IQ store. Have earlier used it for pacing me up for the fast runs, and pacing me down for the recovery runs. Last sunday I decided to take it to the test and use for the Copenhagen Marathon 2022 and decided to be paced at 5:26 for at 3:50 finishtime. It worked like a charm and I finished 23 sec faster than the pacer. Unfortunately i wasnt very good at following the idealcurves at the race, so my recorded distance was 42,74 km and my official time became 3:52 I cant blame the pacer app for that, I should have subtracted 1% from my goalpace to compensate. Anyway Im very happy, and will use it again for future races. I can also highly recommend to download the 8 pages manual and study it closely to get even more out of the pacer app as the developer has done a masterpiece with all the settings and tweaks you can make with this great app.

Hi. Just an update to my earlier post on issues with this app. The developer has patiently work with me on resolving the hang issues. It looks like removing and installing the Connect IQ solved it. Highly recommend this app for users who are interested in pace running or who has long-sighed eyes like mine!

One of my concern about garmin virtual partner is the visibilty of ahead and below time and this really solved it with so many useful options. The developer think of this very seriously, this should be the garmin official virtual partner. Great Job.

Absolutely perfect. I can't understand why this is not an official Garmin function. I don't know if it's possible but it could be very useful if you can save different expressions for different kinds of trainings in the setting menu. So you can select the desired option without writing again the whole expression. However, 10 big stars

Thank you for great feedback! I have actually been experimenting with different ideas for how to have such functionality. I miss such a feature my self! But I have not found a good way to do it. At least not without running into seriously memory limitations, and I am already at the limit with the existing functionality :-(

Version 2 is great with Kenyan style always increasing pace feature, also used for Conconi tests. I have not seen this feature anywhere else. Also, larger font with green and red colors works well. This is currently my most used app in Garmin store. Great job!

Perfect, thanks a lot, it's an incredible added value to my vivoactive 3. Could it be possible to add a function for repeated sessions? Something like "5 x (4:00 1; 5:30 0.5)"... However it's fantastic!! My favourite field for Garmin IQ

Thankyou for the nice review, much appreciated! I don't plan to do any major feature updates anytime soon - but I will for sure consider your idea when I do make a major update. Even though RARP is designed for racing, I do see your point when used for speed intervals!
