Now you never have to run again with a piece of paper containing your pacing plan! Load your pacing strategy into your watch and get live feedback on your progress during your run. You can setup up to 3 different pacing plans (2 on some devices) , A, B and C. A is for your best estimated time, C is for your worst estimated time and B is in between. You can setup up to 9 checkpoints per plan (7 on some devices). The data field displays your required pace between checkpoints for each of the 3 plans. It also displays your current average pace for the section that you are running (From checkpoint to checkpoint). Once you reach a checkpoint, the data field will calculate whether you are still on target with your plans. If you are ahead, it will indicate the minutes ahead for each plan as well as a green indicator. If you are behind plan, it will show you the minutes behind plan as well as a red indicator. You can also setup a description per checkpoint (On some devices). The data field displays the name of the next checkpoint. Setup your checkpoint distances (in meters) and goal times (minutes) in Connect. Detail instructions can be found here: www.paceband.co.za. Please use the excel spreadsheet on the website to assist in setup.

Considering using for a marathon. Looks good, but would be helpful to be able to enter times in minutes and seconds. Seems to only allow minutes.

Thanks Matt for the review. You can try my PaceAssist data field if you want to use seconds. I’m also releasing Paceband Pro soon, it uses hours/minutes/seconds, but it also gives live feedback on time ahead/behind, not only at checkpoints. Info on the release will be posted here: https://www.facebook.com/garminpaceband/

Really helpful during Comrades race. I will be tracking three plans for next week’s up run. Only suggestion- can we ‘correct’ GPS distance in watch by pressing lap button?
