This data field shows the Pace, Speed and Distance based on GPS data with a custom algorithm that works a little different than the built-in in the device. The built-in algorithm in many devices is using accelerometer data for calculate the Pace and some users is having problems with that. This custom algorithm does not use the accelerometer data for calculating the Pace.

Please contact me if you have improvement suggestions, find bugs or just want to give me a comment.

I'm getting exclamation sign when using this as one of the data field. Using fenix 3 non hr model. Do you know why this is happening?

Nice, but I can't see pace in Garmin Connect, only speed and distance difference

Does not work for Edge 130 - the datafield only displays the IQ icon.

The best pace data field I've tried so far. None of those "off by 2-3 min/km (slower)" that I have seen with the standard fenix 5 Plus built in pace data fields (or any third party data field that claims they average over 5-10 s). In places where I have been used to see 2 min slower pace, this one showed maybe 15-20 s slower pace. A considerable improvement.

Thanks for your review and I'm glad to hear that this data field works better for you. Hopefully I will release an updated version next week with further improvements to the algorithm which should give even better pace calculations. Best regards from AndersB

Maybe not perfect, but very much better than Fenix 6 built in current pace!

Installed 0.9.14 on Fenix 6 pro. Activated 1 second recording. Tried it out with biking activity. For some unknown reason no data was shown along the whole route. All other data fields were ok. Any idea?

Great app if you have Fenix 6 pro with terrible built in pace. I think it's very close to my real pace. Thank you for this app. Can you please add pace analytics from this app at Garmin connect, in order to see the real one and not Fenix's fail pace.

Thanks for your review! Unfortunately there is at the moment no way to add a custom Pace graph in Connect. Therefore I have added two graphs for "Speed from Device (km/h)" and "Speed by AndersB (km/h)" so a comparison can be done. Hopefully this will change later on but at the moment Garmin does not allow us developers to add a custom Pace chart.

Hello, Could you please add settings for disabling auto-rotation and the description text? It's good for testing purposes but in real use just annoying.

I tested this datafield on my usual short run which has distance 5,76 – 5,78 km with calibrated stryd, while F6 by it’s own Is between 5,5 – 5,65 km, distance calculated with this app was 5,75 km and pace was far more stable and more realistic then the F6 native pace. This could be solution for all who has problems with constantly slower pace and shorter distance recorded with their F6. It is even possible to see in the graph where your F6 cuts your distance. Great work!

I don't get this application. Pace is already on the watch from GPS, but the added algorithm caught my interest. Tried on a 1/4 mile track using just my watch, with the application and with a Stryd running with a small group using many watches. Stryd was still best, watch pace was close to the Stryd but not perfect and this application was off by 30 seconds. I don't know why or what algorithm is being used, but it's way off.

Hi TMK617! Thanks for your report about this problem! Can I ask you for some more information regarding this? Which watch model do you use? And can you please send me the link to this Garmin Connect activity so I can look at the data? I have not personally tested the data field on a 1/4 mile running track but I know that "Track Run" works a little different than usual "Run". I will go to a track and test myself but it would be great if you can give me the information I asked for. So I can look at your problem. You might have found a bug in the custom algorithm. About the algorithm, the built-in algorithm in many watches uses accelerometer data to calculate the Pace/Speed and some users are having problems with this. My algorithm does not use the accelerometer to calculate the Pace/Speed so it works in a different way. This is the first official version so it might contain bugs which I will make my best to solve. Best regards from AndersB
