I used STRYD PowerRace, in a 30k race for the first time. I did very well and the app worked well.
I think that the top main number should be user set to either instant,1,3,5,10 sec power. I personally use 3sec in normal training and it works awesome.
The top number is locked to instant power and I found it a little tricky to dial in the perfect pace at times. But average pace in the lower right corner helps keep you on track as well.
I have conflicting thoughts about a timer. On one hand I say it need one, if you are trying to clear a time goal, having a timer allows you try to clear a time goal, or that final push to clear whatever time goal you are going for.
On the other hand not having it lets the race go the way it is supposed to go & possibly keeps you from over reaching for a time goal.
Power race did work great, with the power alerts and minimilist design and data fields.
Would I use Stryd power race for my next race! YES! But I really want 3 second power option instead of instant power for the main number!!
Love my STRYD! STRYD support and community is amazing.

Please add "remember last target power and distans" so we don't need to fibble too much before running. Thanks great app, keep powering

Dear developer of the Stryd PowerRace,
I have a Garmin 920XT.
On the screen, I can see the actual power, the lap power and the average power.
And the number of km's.
How can I change the fields? For example, how could I get elapsed time on the screen?
I would welcome your answer!

- Bigger font for distance
- Make it more useful in intervals. Or add power target/alarms to the Stryd Running app instead.
Regarding displaying current pace, I actually enjoy it being missing. That is the whole point: we run with target power and we get pace as an outcome. If I had pace displayed, I'd be tempted to "correct" it by burning excess energy on slight uphills or otherwise running slower where I could run at my target power. It messes up with the whole idea of sticking to constant power throughout the race. Lap alerts provide enough pace data, IMHO. Feeling fresh, think your last mile was a bit slow? Press Up and Enter.

I like my Stryd footpod and I think Stryd are a great company, but these IQ apps are terrible. The PowerRace app in particular isn't up to the clean aesthetics of a Garmin UI, and part way through my run my power just flatlined for the rest of the workout! You definitely can't depend on it and I would be pretty bummed out if it screwed up a race I'd been training for. In future I'll just use the power data field along with Pace and Average Pace, as I've been doing up till now.

In race i want to see power but not only...i want to see pace also..and distance of course....i don't care about heart rate when i race...so this app must be rebuilt the screen with bigger font and another display with watts, pace, distance.
I suppose the developer should "respect" garmins button function and should correct the up - down button, (when pressed there is no way to return to the main screen since the return button marks the lap..really strange button behavior)

Good to have dedicated app for Stryd though it doesn't look as well on a square watchface. But on my VAHR, "enter" is mapped to touch screen. This is really a bad idea! Please use the hardware buttons. Also increasing/decreasing power is mapped to "scroll left/right" on touch screen. Would be nice to be fixed in the next release. The distance measure would be good to be in metrics unit and half steps.

Other stride apps are working great but when I try to start this one it resets my watch. Unusable on fenix3.

Great job! It works perfectly with my Fenix 5x. But would it be possible to add a bigger font for distance data or an additional field with distance? I can hardly see the distance while I run. Please!!

I miss fields of pace and elapsed time.

Looks nice. But you should add default targets like half-marathon / marathon. Also the touch display isn't a good idea. Looking forward to see a new version.

Hello, in Europe we use by default metric. On settings it will be useful to have lap (1k) and total distance in km, thanks! Continue the good work

Great app. But giving 1 star for the simple reason that it starts/stops by touching the screen (vivoactive HR) making it too easy to screw up your run. Would be perfect if it used the buttons to start/stop

The Idea is interesting, but the numbers (HR, AP and Power) are misplaced on Fenix 5S. They should be a few pixels down the screen.

Causes a reset on watch when I try to start the app. Garmin Fenix 3 HR with firmware 4.30. Firmware on stryd is 1.12.

Great app,....plenty of "space" for improvment:
- AVG pwr LAP;
- NP LAP;
- implementation for workout/intervall

Please email me at [email protected] and we can get this fixed very quickly.
Thanks for running with Stryd.

Great App, have now run 2 races with it and PR'd my most recent 5k by 26s, which is huge for me. May want to add instructions for changing options to the Description of the App here in the ConnectIQ Store instead of only on the Stryd blog.

Nice interface, Power, HR and and Average Power standout, with Miles a little smaller, it is hard to see sometimes, but the progress bar is very easy to see.
