The font on this is impossibly small, can’t be read while in motion, esp relative to the other data fields on my watch. Is it fixed size rather than proportional?

Hey Rob, Elevation Change is a "simple data field" which means that Garmin's code, not the CIQ app, is responsible for rendering the contents (i.e. choosing the appropriate font and font size). In this case, the app just returns a label ("Elev. Change") and a value (the elevation change, as a number), and it's up to the watch to figure out how to display the label and value optimally. Unfortunately, there's a known issue or two with newer watches and small text in CIQ data fields: https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/i/bug-reports/users-complain-of-very-small-text-in-simple-data-fields

Hey Danny, This video may help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P5HYBabeB2s Or follow these instructions on your watch. (Sorry for the formatting of this reply; unfortunately the Garmin App Store removes all line breaks from the text, which makes it hard to read) (1) Select activity (e.g. Run) Settings (2) Select "Data Screens" (3) Select one of your data screens (4) Select a field (5) Select "ConnectIQ Fields" (6) Select Elevation Change

Hey man looks good. Adding to the other reviews, can we get a total metres ascended data field? Cheers!

Hi Ricardo, thanks for the review. This *is* the total elevation change, calculated by "total ascent minus total descent". I used that calculation instead of "current elevation minus start elevation" because the ascent and descent numbers are filtered by Garmin, and seem to give better results. Elevation can change even if you are just standing still. Please let me know if I misunderstood what you were asking for.
